Same thing with me. The Goodbye message box doesnt appear when you logged out. When you login, the Goodbye message box will appear instead of Welcome message box.

Bro, I'm only using the default theme for my test sites. And yes I know what to do with the $languagedir if ever necessary.
Btw, in most cases, custom themes are using the default $languagedir.
I've tested your mod to 1.1.6, and 2.0 Beta 4 and it works well there. But with 1.1.5, naah. Even on a fresh installed 1.1.5.

Just like what I've said bro, after uninstalling and deleting FORCE TOPIC READ ON LOGIN, I installed your mod and nothing good happened. It seems that the attached file is just the same with the regular installation of the MOD without any other modification. Anyhow, I've uploaded and applied it... still the same.
Earlier, I've tried to install your MOD in a fresh installed SMF 1.1.5. No other MODS are being installed except your MOD and yes, it works properly. It seems to me that your MOD need to be installed first before installing the other MODs to avoid conflict to one another (though I'm not 100% sure by that, but that is how I see it).
The following are my test sites:
http://remus.isgreat.org/index.php (SMF 1.1.5) -- Here, I've already removed the other MOD installed, and yet, your MOD couldn't work properly. There were 10 other MODs installed to this test site prior to the installation of your MOD.
http://smf-115.isgreat.org/index.php (SMF 1.1.5) -- This one is a fresh installed SMF 1.1.5 test site. Your MOD works here properly even I've already modified your mod to my needs.

I am getting an 'unable to load the main template'.
I have removed this mod now and need to know how to fix up whatever file it was that would not show the message that was supposed to be displayed on logging in and out thanks.
Are there some files like LOGIN2/LOGIN3 and LOGOUT2/LOGOUT3 which need removal so this will be fixed? Where are they located?

Then i Founded it that when ever someone try to login forums .it redirted user to " http://domain.com/forums/index.php?action=login2 " .i really don't know what is this login2.php file .but i think its not available in smf 2.0.4beta.

I'm seeing  on the top left corner and my logo moves a bit to the right only in login3 and logout3. I've attached a screen shot demonstrating the problem.
I tried to find these symbols in the templates.php but none was found. Can you take a look? (attached)

Open the files in an editor that allows you to force ISO 8859-1 encoding. I couldn't see them until I did that.

But the problem is that the template continues messed up. The header-bg and the footer-bg aren't bigger enough. Is there a way to fixe this problem since in the forum I don't have it :-[ :( [and in other mods the problem is the same, maybe is a theme problem?] :-\

OK, I'm no expert, but all I did was set Kate to ISO-8859-1, opened the file and there they were. Edited the file and saved it.

I converted the files I downloaded from the mod site.
Just went to notepad++ » Format » ANSI » SAVE
You should put the ANSI converted files in the mod site to prevent this happening again with someone else ;)

I was getting those three BOM characters at the upper left of my profile page and couldn't work out how to get rid of them. Between you all you really helped me stop tearing my hair out.

You just reposted your answer again. It didn't help the first time so how will it help a second time? I went and got the new files which I was directed to in the other thread, I uploaded them. Nothing changed. I can't find anywhere in my forum admin where I can adjust those pages. Is there supposed to be a place where I can adjust them? Why are you giving me file locations? From memory, the forum ONCE had fields where I could specify what the log in and log out re directions would be. However, I can no longer find the settings, They're gone. I suspect that they disappeared after upgrading. Now, I don't know whether I just can't find the settings, or whether they are there or not, or what's going on. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but I can't find where to set the log in and log out redirection links.
So that is why I am asking where the settings are SUPPOSED to be, so I don't have to sit here for half an hour clicking every single link in the admin, trying to find out where I can set it.

You need to also Admin > Maintenance > Routine > Empty the File Cache in 2.0.
Language strings are cached, meaning they're stored in a second place, which you have to clear.

FOR SPANISH LATIN UTF8, just modify the file "/public_html/Themes/default/languages/Modifications.spanish_latin-utf8.php"

It won't work - no change logging in or out. It worked once when I logged out immediately after installation. How ironic :whistle:
