I am trying to install FlashChat 3.9.5.0 and i am looking forward to integrate it with my board ...but the thing is that ,......there are no. of thngs that i dont know .....
so here i go ...

Step 5: Integrating FlashChat with an existing user database
You have specified that FlashChat should draw from an existing user database. This will configure the "/inc/cmses/defaultCMS.php" file so that only your existing users are allowed to login to FlashChat.
Please complete the options below so that FlashChat knows how to retrieve user information from your database:
Following are my choices plss tell me the correct choices
1. Table containing user names and passwords: smf_members( i hope this table also contains mods and admin )
2.User "ID" field:memberName (this should be a unique, primary key field)
Username field: memberName
Password field:passwordSalt
3. If the password in this table and field are encrypted, which of the following encryption types is used?
{{ i dont know but there are two choices plain text and md5 what shud i choose }}
4. Full URL path to profile.php (or similar file): ( This is the file that FlashChat will attempt to access when a user's profile is requested from the FlashChat interface.)...
http://site_domain/chat/profile.php ( file from Flash Chat)or http://site_domain/chat/forum/Sources/Profile.php(file from the files of SMF board )
URL string for user profile information, relative to this path. The user name or id should be enclosed in {}, and should indicate the field name that FlashChat should use when passing the information to the profile PHP file:
?user={memberName} or ?user={$memberName}
FlashChat needs to know how moderators and spies are determined in your user database.
Please complete the following (field = value)
A user is a moderator if the following is true...
ID_MEMBER=? ? ? ? ?
(optional) A user is a spy if the following is true...

I believe Flashchat has an SMF specific merge-util...
You havce to comment out the defaultCMS line and uncomment the SMF line...
no my version hasmnt got it ....if u have a new upgraded version plss mail me the same at my email address which is

refer to the "integration" folder, or the "integration/archive" folder (the archived integration files are slowly being updated). In
this case, you MUST use install2.php to install FlashChat, NOT install.php! I.e.,

Please see the appropriate installation instructions in the "integration" folder. As of 3.9.0.5, I have begun creating visual
tutorials for these integrations - please see the "integration" folder for these (or "integration/archive" for older versions), and
be sure to update the file(s) in FlashChat's /inc/cmses folder with the updated PHP code for your CMS system.
There is a simplemachines.html in the integration folder that explains what else you have to do.
