I just upgraded from phpBB and so far I love SMF, but I have one problem that is making me tear my hair out.
On phpBB I had a "moderators only" board which was only viewable by anyone who was a moderator of any board.
But now it seems that I have no way to do this in SMF... I can make a board that can be viewed only by GLOBAL moderators, but there is no way to have a board that is viewable only by people who mod one or two boards but are not global mods.
I want to have a place where I can talk privately with my board mods. Is there any way I can do this, other than making all of my single board mods into global mods?
Please help! I need my "Mods Only" forum back!
What I've done is put every board mod into a regular (non-post count based) group called 'Board Mods' and given that group permission to access a mods only board.
Thanks, Tau...I'm not sure why I didn't figure that out myself (maybe it's all these wonderful new settings and options that phpBB didn't have! w00t!) That's exactly what I've done and it's working perfectly. Thanks again!
