Otsikko: smf-Mambo bridge: reserved usernames
Kirjoitti: Antifreeze - helmikuu 01, 2005, 03:13:31 AP

Hi,
Building a website for a gaming squad using mambo.
I want to make use of the smf feature which disallows specified strings during registration. In this case, the squad prefix. But it doesn't seem to be working for either name or displayname. Is it because I'm using the mambo bridge for registration and log-in? If so, I am guessing that if I install mambo's 'community builder' mod (which has the same feature), it won't work either if I'm using the bridge to integrate registration?

Clarification and workarounds welcome.
Thanks.

You mean SMF's Reserved Names options?

I'll look into getting that into the next release.   :)

you should also be aware that adding mambo's community builder to a bridged mambo-smf site will require some manual modification on your part. (someone in the mambo forum here on SMF did post a sync-function, in addition to the other changes that will be required)

Thanks Orstio. How often do you release updates?

Kindred, I looked at the sync-function, which seems fairly easy to instigate.
However, I didn't see any other information about other manual edits.
Sorry, probably my krappy search-strings. Can you find a thread with all the
edits you mention? Cheers.
