hi, like i said before its a great theme, so i am some newbie in this matter and i want to know how put more options in the menu bar, because i want to put there a link to the Rules and FAQ of mi forum also the link to the staff page.

Well what i would like:
1)How and where to edit in order to change the colour of the "Events(Calendar","Mark ALL messages as read" and "Mark Read | Notify | New Topic | Post new poll"?
2)How to change the green colour with the underline this-> Post2 everytime the mouse is over a link.
It reminds me of some advertisments at sites and it is not so good.

Thanks...now I realized that since I downloaded this theme that I've developed other problems. A couple of my mods are not working. I applied the mods of location and custom profile field, they were working fine before showing the information below the avatar, but since adding this theme, they are not showing up. I uninstalled them adn reinstalled and still not working. Any advice?

Ithink i misunderstood stargatecorner...I would like to have the new post envelope lighter or a different color than the black, it's hard to see it ...

You have been very polite and professional and have helped many people with questions that really had nothing to do with your theme and only to do with basic coding. I respect that. If people are impatient or rude please don't take it personally... since they don't know you personally. Your theme is really beautiful. I'm going to add some buttons, change out logo and side inclusions, but it has saved me a massive amount of work, finding something so elegant to begin with.

I have been hesitant about a new theme because I don't want to modify a theme only to have to redo it all for v2.0 and my co-webmaster is hesitant to put a beta theme on a big forum. But you are helpful enough that I think I am willing to risk it, knowing I can ask a question if I get into trouble I can't get myself out of. Thanks for providing this nice design.

First, I want to thanx for this great temlate.

I want to add a line on the top of the post. In SMF 2.0.4 version there is no space betwen post, and menu, so the text look illegible.

Any help on getting the words to show up on the left side under the post count that you can do with a mod like "custom Profile Fields" ... it worked when I used the classic them version, but once I changed to this theme, they are not visible now.

the first problem depends on double value in css of #userarea* class (i've removed one and edited other).
The second problem depends on help.css (default theme) now fixed with some little modification :)

This is a really cool theme.

But it seems there is a problem for SMF-1.1.7, when I moved my cursor on those "Calenar", "Home",...tabs, then they all go to the left corner, and disappear.

But there is something that I don't like...the active link, maybe you could change the green color to silver...it's the only green color on your theme and it's not for it.

Is there a fix for the news fader IE for extreme, I am having the same issue?

News fader not working for extreme6 it gives a js script bug error. or page done with errors and no newsfader shows up. if disabled the page works w. no errors.

It's the best theme I found for SMF.Thanks.

But I'm having a problem.Every time I apply the theme to my forum, all the polls dissapears. The Poll area and the "Question:" test is showing but the actual poll (question and options ,answers) are invisible.
And the poll option from forum settings is enabled.

Did you install the portal yet? After you install the Portal (Simple Portal) it will add the forum button automatically.

Text in the posts was falling down. Ive uninstalled all the mods.. Ive reuploaded the original default template files of theme.. but still the text is fallin down

Hi, i' ve exactly the same problem in IE like it is shown in this post:

There is a really big space from the top of the post area to the button. But it is only in IE not in FF.

Could somebody fix this yet?

First of all, let me say, It's the best theme a have ever seen   ;)
But now, I got two problems.
I'm using the 2.x version.

- How can I add new buttons ? The solution in the fisrt page did not worked for me, i could'nt find the lines ^^
- How can ia change the size o the Logo ? In the place of the 'logo' file, I put 915x150 file. I even changed the lines of width and weight, but it still, shows just a part of my Banner  :'(

Can you please help me ?

I'm using SMF 2 RC1 (tested the theme with beta 4 and it worked fine) and it would appear that this theme needs to be updated before it is compatible.

For the record:
RC1 clean install = formatting issues for board display in FF 3.05 and IE7
B4 clean install = formatting fine.

I haven't tried the B4 upgrade to RC1 route yet though.

I'm using SMF 2.0 Beta 4 and the theme was fresh installed from the customize page. By the way, there are no mods installed at this time. I also noticed that the profile area on the left is different. look at the messenger icons...

may be anyone knows what happend?

The menu doesn't work in the chrome browser. I seen that it works on your demo theme, but not the package(2.0beta). Any update on this?

First of all I think your theme Extreme61 is phenomenal.  I am using it for my forum http://thepointers.dazman.com/index.php (this is the test forum).

I am trying to create three buttons Gallery, Guestbook and Blog.  The gallery button appears in the menu but when I hover over it is pointed to index.php?action=gallery, even thought I have changed it to "mgallery" in the index.template.php for Extreme61. Right now I am working on the guestbook button, have added it to the index.template.php yet it doesn't appear on the menu.  Is the another place I need to make changes for these to take effect?  Below is what I have put in Extreme61 index.template.php they are after the forum button.  Thanks!

IE does everything fine for me in fact I did find FF struggled with somethings. 

No offence but sometimes I get the feeling you FF people are just brainwashed to hell. Every other thread has to be a FF advert and then you moan when people pick up on it lol

I will second what d1337r posted. I see the same thing though only in Firefox.Chrome,Opera and Konqueror browsers. Internet Explorer is fine ??? "Its just too bad no one uses IE anymore"  ;D

What you are seeing looks like what a slightly older version of this theme (one built for the SMF2 B4) does when installed in SMF RC1.
Have you tried downloading the theme again and installing it?
If you have the older version you will see it's install path is: /Themes/extreme6_20beta4, whilst the RC1 is: /Themes/extreme6_20_RC1

You will need to remove the beta theme after switching users to the RC1 theme.

Either way this theme is not yet suitable for a production site, as there are numerous images missing from the package.
These missing images can only be seen to be missing in IE, FireFox will show text links in place of the missing images.

Of course SMF 2 RC1 is not recommended for a production site either, but all versions of this theme including the 1.1.7 version is incomplete.

Shame, it is a very nice theme and clearly a lot of hard work has gone into it.

No, I use version for RC1.

which language are you useing?

How would i know what language i'm using, i think its english..i'm not sure

Great theme thanks for your work.

One small problem, same as Zeromus in that the top buttons are not showing graphics. They move and operate ok, just no colourful graphics.

Server language set to english-utf8

There are files in the ''/images/english/home.png  , serach.png , logout, pm...

Tried on IE.6 and 7 on two different machines.

One other confusing thing, what is and where should the menu_psd.zip file go?

The uploaded theme zip contains /public_html/smf/Themes/extreme61/images/english/home.png

I just renamed english to english-utf8 and buttons appeared.

That does't go anywhere, it's just so you can edit the .psd (photoshop) files to make your own buttons like this

I've only spent a cpl thousand hours on it  :D LOL. It's pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Just chnging the style sheet does wonders to make it go with the theme of your forum.

Most time was spent on making the buttons and manual edits for all the mods.

Thank you again for your great theme. But one small problem.

I decided to make a forum based site around your theme and have downloaded TinyPortal v1.0 beta 3.

The install was good with no errors, but now the menu buttons are static and do not expand on mouseover. (they still navigate ok just dont show text on mouseover i.e Home, Forum, Help, Login etc)

Can you help please?.

Any way, if this is this way, how i need change Language and others files?

I have parsed the topic and haven't found anyone complaining that username is not displayed in top right area. I have try to mix the default index.template with extreme index.template in this sense, but what came up was a big mess. Eventually avatar would be nice to be displayed also.

ehm.. I dont quite get it??.. How did You manage to "mod" the extreme61 theme to tinyportal?
I tried to follow these instructions:

Hey Fussilet I hate to bother you with this again but I just upgraded to RC1 and the news fader is not working in IE again and the edit that you provided for 118 will not work, the code has totally changed.

I can't seem to find the css that would change the color behind my avatar on my profile.

For some reason I can't attatch the pic.

Any ideas?

How did you get that grey space in there anyway? By default it comes with a Xtreem6 logo, just creat your own logo and replace the logo file in yourforum/Themes/extreem6/images/logo.png

Thank you very much Fussilet, I have already totally customized this theme to coincide with my forum and installed Mods. Instead of having to redo all the custom edits in the css, boardindex.template and index.template would I just be able to change the code that you did from the last version to the final release?

If so what are the code change that need to be done? If that's too much to post I understand.

Or alteast what would I need to change to get the News Fader to work in the last version.

Hi Fussilet it's me again LOL

There seems to be a cpl things that are not aligned properly. The info icons under the profile info in a post are going down in 1 column vs. going across in a row like here on the SMF Boards.

Also, the signature is way to high also like here on the SMF Boards it should be towards the bottom of the post, maybe even with a horizontal line.

How ever im a fan of Dark forums, and a fan of Extreme 6. But i could not find any thing about how to install that theme, in a b c / 1. 2 . 3 because im a noob,

A. Dowload the Extreme6 Theme for 1.1.X to your PC
B. Goto Admin/Themes and Layout/Install a New Theme/
C. Upload the theme from your PC and Install

I got this error trying installing,

I tryed both upload the zip file to the theme directory and unzipped to a folder and then upload and then give to the installer the path for folder or file..

How do I add another link to the navigation bar?

hi! I just lift my forum then successfully migrated to SMF vanilla.
Now I am trying to install a theme and I found it very nice!
But I have a doubt, what's the folder I should put menu_psd.psd?

You dont need to put the .psd anywhere, that's for you use incase you want to make you own buttons.

Hi Fussilet,  this seems to be a different problem than what I had posted before.

As Astral said in IE is just switches (fast) it does not acutally fade like it does in FF. I have the same problem in the Dark-F Theme.

There seems to be a cpl things that are not aligned properly. The info icons under the profile info in a post are going down in 1 column vs. going across in a row like here on the SMF Boards.

Also, the signature is way to high also like here on the SMF Boards it should be towards the bottom of the post, maybe even with a horizontal line.

Hi there. Im having a bit of a signature problem with this theme. It doesnt happen for me, but with some users the signatures are flying off the screen to the right. I guess it doesnt have full compatibility with their browser, I dunno. So a user screen-captured the image and this is what he sent:

I need to know were the code is to change the background colour of a quote made by another poster.

Also, I would like to see a border around the quote.

At present the quote background and border is the same colour as the theme for some reason, probably as a result of me playing around with my style.css at some time in the past. Now I just cant find the line that changes it.

QUESTION:


I'm having trouble with putting the entire banner at the top of my forum, hxxp:www.16sandhooks.com [nonactive]

I can't figure out how to allow more space at the top for my banner to fit, which I think is due to the theme's border. Only 80% of my banner can fit, height wise. 100% is able to fit width wise

The Banner is 800x300

I'm using  SMF 1.1.10 with !Extreme6 theme by Fussilet

Have you adjusted the width and height in the style.css? Should look something like this....

I was going to ask that myself.

I also have a problem in the new post and edit.  For some reason the buttons "Post \ Preview \ Spell check" do not activate the mouse over.  They do not cause the mouse pointer to change from arrow to hand nor do they change colour to highlight.  ny ideas please.  Otherwise this is a fantastic theme.  Cheers.

Thanks mrtrc266, I have tried that but despite changing everything in that area, all I can change is the quote header bar colour and text within it colour.

I just cant seem to find the specific code to change the background of a 'A quote, perhaps from another post' even though there appears to be a section to do just that. All I want to do is highlight a quote in a box, just like above in this post.

Any ideas?
