!!! sm noob posting !!!
I installed the newest beta:
- new members can't register
- the functions in topics don't work (insert hyperlink, font size etc)
- some of the link labels overlap (using eccentric theme); looks ugly
Or is that to do with the fact that I installed it for testing on wampserver (localhost)?
Because I can register new members online (although the other probs persist)?

Just checked: new members register online, but not on localhost (noob!), but the other probs such as inserting links, mails, pics or changing font size and style happen as well online as offline (also online unless they are to do with the theme?).
Topic moved. Considering you're the first person to have this issue, this is most likely not a bug.

Is this the same install you have installed locally, but with a different hostname? Or a completely different install?
