On the index of my site www.southshorestangs.com where it lists the post and topic numbers in each forum it is incorrect. It is displaying the same number for both. Any ideas on what could cause this?
Does the problem occur with the default theme?
No it only does it on one theme.
That would imply it is a theme bug. Please attach your index.template.php for the theme that isn't working
Here is my index.template.php. I have also been trying to make the forum wider, like 90% of browser, center the logo, and change the color of the navigation links to red not the blue purple color they are now when you hover over them. I changed all the colors other than that one and can't find where too.

Try finding in boardindex.template.php:
<strong>', $board['posts'], ' ', $board['posts'], '</strong>
And replacing with:
<strong>', $board['posts'], ' ', $board['topics'], '</strong>
