Otsikko: moving the boards
Kirjoitti: jerm - helmikuu 03, 2005, 08:13:31 IP
I currently run my boards in the root directory. meaning www.address.com goes directly to my boards. In a few weeks, im planing on making a home page etc and moving the boards to www.address.com/boards . now i wanted to know what is the easist way to move.
to install a whole new forum, and copy/paste the database into the new boards.. do i copy the whole boards, over? etc..
any ideas on what is the easist way for me to do this?

if your keeping it on the same server just upload the SMF forum software to the new location (/board) and then use repair_settings.php to correct the paths.

no need to move the database.

The repair_settings.php utility should list most of them.  What is repair_settings.php? (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=18096.0)
