Title: Few questions about converting from phpBB
Post by: richards on February 04, 2005, 07:28:13 PM
Ive done a succesfull switch about 3 months ago (to play around with the software). I was wondering if there was a way to updqate to the newest posts and everything. Also, im wondering where i could make this into coppermine>SM>mabmo comanation. I already have coppermine phpbb and simple machines installed on the same database.

Thanks

I'm afraid you'll need to do a complete reconvert to get new posts.

As for Mambo, if you had phpBB integrated with it this may cause problems with the integration of SMF because it modifies Mambo's database.

No, my mambo isnt even really set up at all. only think sharing the databse is phpbb, SM, and coppermine. The "updating posts" part was more of a "can i over write the tables with the same script that transfered phpbb to SM" to update the posts?

No, no, it's fine.  The tool empties the SMF installation first anyway.
