Otsikko: Can SMF be used with SSL?
Kirjoitti: loveacrossborders - helmikuu 08, 2005, 12:54:55 AP
Hey everyone,

I did a search that didn't come up with anything on using SSL with SMF. I have a dedicated SSL certificate for one of my domains. Basically, I'd like to use SMF as a 'support forum' for an online shop that I'm trying to set up.

I'm just curious if it's possible to set SMF to use with SSL? If so, is it a matter of setting an opinion in the configuration, or would it entail changing a lot more?

SMF should be fully compatible with SSL.  There should be nothing wrong with simply changing the forum's URL to https://www.example.com/community.

And, there are a few topics about this in the Charter Member only boards.
