we have a forum in http://www.nationalmatch.us/forums/index.php (which is in different server). now i have installed the SMF in our own server and want to convert the existing forum to SMF.. pls help

both forums must be on the same server for a conversion (SMF needs read access to the IPB database)..

Hi,

i only have the database(sql file) of IPB 2.3 but no files of IPB. now how will i convert the IPB to SMF.. pls help.

you must import your database and at leat emulate the conf_global.php from your old IPB. copy this file from your old webserver and put it in the SMF directory.
change this to your new values:
$INFO[sql_database]
$INFO[sql_tbl_prefix]
