Otsikko: vbulliten or simplemachines?
Kirjoitti: george - helmikuu 11, 2005, 09:48:33 AP
Hi,

I use simplemachines and always will but I am wondering which would be coded to use the absolute least ammount of server CPU power?

I am just wondering which is the most efficient for a dedicated forum AMD2400, 512mb RAM. I anticipate alot of useage. How many users only would i be able to have with SM?

SMF can handle quite a bit. The two largest SMF forums that I know of both have well over 25,000 members.

RCWeb (http://rcweb.net/forums/index.php) (in Thai) - 27,179 members
40k Online (http://www.40konline.com/community/index.php) - 25,634 members

As far as the absolute max - see How much can SMF currently handle? (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=17129.0)

You're using a more featured server than this site runs on.
