Title: Show unread posts - display formatting gone awry in Theme
Post by: willerby on November 20, 2008, 06:08:40 PM
SMF 2.0b4 - Default Theme fine, heavily customised Retro Green Theme has the following issue:

When users click on 'Show unread posts since last visit' the table of posts appears but the 'Mark as read' button used in the theme is being incorrectly placed. I'm sure I can fix this if somebody can tell me what php file generates this page view?

The theme works fine for all other instances of ad hoc post listings such as 'Show Recent posts' or 'Show replies to own posts'? Will send files if it helps to solve but need to know which ones!

Images below show what I am talking about... Show_unread marked with the formatting issues, Show_replies is all correct as it should be.

Any help really appreciated as this is the only bug in my Club site.

Well, further investigations have revealed that the Recent. template.php is the culprit. As this sits in the Default SMF Theme rather than in the custom Theme I am using I think we can assume that the code was designed to display tabs rather than buttons and I'll need a manual fix to get the formatting right.

Unfortunately my coding is not good enough to sort this - can aybody see what is going wrong here

File attached. Thanks

Fixed through trail and error using code from other template files as a guide...
