Title: Unusual Error...
Post by: Xarcell on November 25, 2008, 09:41:17 PM
Early today I was browsing my new installation of SMF 2.0. I didn't try to install anything, just created some boards and stuff yesterday, but not today.

Then later, I get a parse error:

Code: [Select]
Warning: Unexpected character in input: ''' (ASCII=39) state=1 in /home/orinmaster/feyorin.com/cache/data_21b4e7c834dff908dcfc892fcc073431-SMF-modSettings.php on line 1

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ':' in /home/orinmaster/feyorin.com/cache/data_21b4e7c834dff908dcfc892fcc073431-SMF-modSettings.php on line 1

Any idea what caused it?

EDIT: in case it's asked: http://feyorin.com/phpinfo.php

What you are getting is an error related to bad cache. Sometimes it goes bad on servers, sometimes in browsers.

When that happens you need to use FTP to go in and clear the file in question :).

How do I use FTP? / What is FTP? (http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?topic=480)
