Title: Can not disable custom titles
Post by: Picobrain on December 23, 2008, 08:13:18 AM
Hi guys. I am using SMF 2.0 Beta 4 forum and I have a problem with custom user titles. I don't want regular users to change their titles so I went to admin-->Features and Options-->General, and I UNCHECKED Enable custom titles

(https://www.simplemachines.org/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fv117%2FNanobrain%2F1.jpg&hash=c6dc56aad2711f59ff7dde65ffcf14dbff8b934c)

I've also disabled it here:

but they can still change their custom titles. Any idea?

You should uncheck a different permission

Edit custom title -> Own Profile (unchecked)
                               Any Profile (unchecked)

This is really weird :S I've unchecked both fields but still, regular user can put their own custom names, wtf? I don't get this. I am using mystical jade theme and Macedonian language, do you think there is some kind of bug?

Is this issue resolved?

If not, register with a test account and see if you can change the custom name on that account. You can switch to the default theme also to test this out to see if it occurs there as well.
