Otsikko: Back button and search function
Kirjoitti: mattr2 - helmikuu 18, 2005, 04:25:11 AP
I am looking at SMF and vBulletin as options for our board.  As far as I can tell, SMF will not allow a user to use the back button to go back to a search results page.  Is this true?  Is there a fix for this?

you should be able to use the back button in your browser. I do it all the time...

The back button works, unless the page I am going back to is a search results page.

So, are you saying, no-one else has this problem?  It happens to me on this site as well as the forum I just installed on my server.

When I hit the back button, I get the folowing error "The page cannot be displayed"

Matt

Try it in Firefox and see what you get. It works fine for me too, but Firefox will at least give you a better error message.

Have you changed the "allow users to go back to cached pages" option?
