I've moved my forum over to the default template instead of a modified class template.
I've made the changes to the look of this template keeping the look of the old template.
With Opera, the forum is intermitently locking up before loading the whole page, and I have to click stop, for the page to view. There are no problems with IE6
I have a number of mods installed, and have de-installed them and the problem is the same.
At the bottom of my page I have a banner system running. However this appears on every page, but it is only the front page which appears to be locking up.
Any thoughts?

Found the problem. I think. I have two copies of the everywherechat script telling members how many people are using chat. One is installed by default in the defaulttemplate.index.php and one I've manually put in index.template.php as part of user info. Perhaps the two copies were causing the problems, so I deleted the default one in deafaulttemplate and it's working fine again. Looking at your reply Owdy, you checked after I made this change.
