I uploaded and am using the 1.1.7's MYSQL Database on 2.0 Beta 4 however I think it messed up my poll. Did I do something I was not supposed to?

you will have to upgrade your site after you put the files of 2.0 beta 4 so that the database codes work along with each other.
Upgrade SMF (http://docs.simplemachines.org/index.php?board=3.0;sort=subject)

Have a look there.
