They may not know English and there may not always be a topic for the subject theme in Turkish boards. Because he didn't understood what you are talking about, he won't be able to respond to what you say or behave as expected. :)

Arkadaşlar, Türkçe bölüm dışında, sadece Türkçe içerikli mesajlar yazmayın; çünkü burası İngilizce bölüm ve ne söylediğiniz anlaşılmıyor. İngilizce dışında diğer dillerin yazıldığını görüyorsanız, sizi gözden kaçırmayanlar bazen başkalarını gözden kaçırabiliyorlar, üzerinde çok durmayın. :)

Burak, the idea is nice but I was expecting a more effective theme looking more similar to Google. you are capable to do that. :) Its still nice and has really good features. Please go on working.

Hey guys, i have a simple question, i think the text is to SMALL, i want to make it bigger, how can i do that?

Great theme ! 1 of the most beautiful SMF Themes.

Also, if you want to launch V2 you should put the last posts in other colon.

For Ex.:

Having a problem with displaying subforums on the main index.  I've attached a screen capture so you can see.  They aren't lining up properly or truncating the names like your sample picture on the download page.  Any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks!

BitBass it is because the section names are too long
Title: Re: Google Theme
Post by: BitBass on March 12, 2009, 04:19:37 PM
Right, I know they're long.  That's why I also mentioned that they aren't truncating like in the sample picture.  Truncating would be fine if that worked.

Also, any way to add more than 5 "sites" in the list on the right?
Title: Re: Google Theme
Post by: BitBass on March 12, 2009, 04:25:07 PM
One other thing...the custom profile fields don't seem to be honoring the sorting method during registration.  In other words, people are seeing an "Other:" text box in the middle of the field instead of at the end and it doesn't make much sense.

Thanks!

Getting error in "News" box where it's saying "Welcome, %1$s" whereas perhaps it should say "Welcome, Guest"

Something to do with the ['welcome_guest'] string?

<td valign="middle" align="center" height="60">';
      if ($context['user']['is_logged'])
       echo (!empty($settings['sidebar_news']) ? $settings['sidebar_news'] : '');
      else
       echo $txt['welcome_guest'];
      echo'
      </td>

I would even prefer to use my own text as opposed to the string value, a bit of guidance please?

Anyone offering support on this theme?

Can we have just the main index page showing the 'Search', 'Forum Stats', 'Advertisement', 'News' and 'Sites'.

Its sometimes a bit much to have them on the side of every page and it would allow the message boxes to fill the screen.

Also in using SMF 2.0 the third column is blank unless you have a moderator set for that board, it would be better filled with something else or removed altogether don't you think?

....anyone?
Title: Re: Google Theme
Post by: Urbanite on September 08, 2009, 10:52:45 AM
OK I'll answer my own questions, managed to dispose of the largely blank column that is used to list the moderaters for the board by making changes to the BoardIndex.template.php and widened the last post column from 22% to 25%. It looks so much better, more info here: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=334960.0 (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=334960.0)  :)

Changing all other pages apart from the main index page from showing the 'Search', 'Forum Stats', 'Advertisement', 'News' and 'Sites' is a job for another day.

Just muddling my way through, so no guarantees if things mess up with you!

I think...

1. It says i can list a URL for a logo, but the logo still remains the GOOGLE them logo. Although i could overright that "logo.png" file but shouldnt need to correct?

2. (attachment included with this) It says RIGHT ADS Ymg Link. If i type ni an Ad, i assume there is a link to it i can post somewhere on this page. There is a blank spot that gives me a ( : ) 4 spots below and that dont work, ive tried different things and it appears to do nothing. Am I missing something here?

3. Also regarding the NAV LINKS ABOVE. Ive turned the images into text links but still uses alot of space. Does anyone know how i can make this just plain roll over text with color without having them move around or sliding?

I would also like to know how you put the banner in this. I have the simple ad rotator mod installed but cannot get it to work for top nor bottom

Regards,
Daniel

#1 it looks to me like the Theme author did not include the option to have a custom logo in that manner danandloree.
#2 The blank spot ":" is supposed to say "Site Author". You perhaps are running english-uft8. Since there isn't an english-utf8 file you may be missing some text like that.
#3 Always helps to post a link so people can actually see the problem and work it out. My best advice for you on this would be to install the firebug add-on for firefox and work out what CSS is causing your problems.

This is a great theme! I am having just a few issues testing it in 2.0 RC3

- Most of the profile pages are broken when you try to modify your profile (fixed by removing Profile.template.php)
- Info center title looks like this:  %1$s - Info Center
- Users active in past %1$d minutes

Any chances on a RC3 release?

Great great theme!
Just for your own benefit, the footer at the bottom right corner seems like the link is broken. You may want to fix it so you get referrals. Since it was broken, I put my own link, if you do fix it, send me your link and I would be happy to edit it.

Does it work with Ad Mod? It is not working for me.

If not, can someone tell me how can add a link in the bottom of the page? I have used couple links and seemed like non of them worked.

Thanks
