Otsikko: New member activation weirdness...
Kirjoitti: lilirose - helmikuu 25, 2005, 06:07:30 AP
I have my forum set to "member activation", and all of my boards are hidden to unregistered users.

Last night, I had a new member join who (according to my control panel) never activated her account, but somehow she was able to post, and spent 25 minutes browsing the forums.

Upon discovering this, I set up a test account and tried to see if I could also log in, browse, or post to the forums without activating the test account, but I could not- so I am extremely confused about how this person managed to post if she didn't activate her account.

Anyone have any idea how this could have happened? I am really unhappy about it as this person caused a big drama in the time she spent on the board, so it is a big deal and I don't want it to happen again. Please help...

Never mind, I figured out what happened...the new member registered, activated her account, trolled my forum, then changed her e-mail address so that she could not be contacted.  >:(

You've still got her IP address though ;)
