After seeing the release of 1.1.8 and 2.0 Release Candidate 1, I thought about upgrading my site, but before I do, I want to ask some questions.
First of all, would mods from 2.0 BETA 4 work with it, same for themes. I have alot installed, and don't want to go through it again.
Secondly, if I do upgrade, will I have to make all of the file edits again to, well, the files I have edited.
Thirdly, is there any way that after I have a mod installed, I can re-see the files that I had to edit if any errors came up, this will be very useful for me.
Fourthly, I am using EzPortal, plainly for the ShoutBox, are there any better ShoutBox's that work with 2.0? I have tried nneonns shoutbox, and it doesn't work...

It's hard to say. In the end, it depends on what they are editing. You can try clicking the advanced tab on the package manager and put "SMF 2.0 Beta 4" in the field, and try to install it by telling the package manager you're using beta 4 -- but if any edits fail, don't force it.

Assuming you're talking about custom edits, not in a mod package -- Yes. Because to upgrade you'll have to fully overwrite your SMF install's source and theme files and run the upgrade.php script.

Well, you can click the uninstall link but not go past the test screen, it'll tell you what it's going to edit that way.

I'm not currently aware of a shoutbox other than nneoneo's shoutbox that works for 2.0.
