Otsikko: Preventing Guest Viewing Problem
Kirjoitti: Orlando - helmikuu 25, 2005, 06:48:17 IP
I have the "Allow Guest viewing" unchecked. and I have the permissions on the unregistered guests group all set to denied.

But on the board where it saids"Who's Online" it shows for example 6 guests and it shows them viewing different part of the board.

How can a guest view the board when I have the permissions set to denied?

I tried searching for this and couldn't find it

Permissions don't control whether or not guests can browse the forum. That's under Edit Features and Options.

Even when this is turned off, if a guest (or bot) checks a link, it shows what they are TRYING to do, not what they are actually doing.  (If this has changed in more recent upgrades, I hope someone will correct me.)
