have you tried uninstalling the mods before upgrading?
Your database is still intact im assuming, why not reinstall beta4 and then upgrade your database with no mods installed?
Marsh, I don't suggest editing your posts like that. You should also post back with the solution that worked for you as this may help other users who experience similar symptoms.
