OK, I downloaded the version SMF 2.0 RC1. This is the first time I use SMF and I have some problems. First I moved the logo from the right to the left. However I saw that both the title of the forum and the logo are displayed. How can I remove the title? ???
I removed it from the administration panel but that is not a good option. I looked in the index.template.php but I don't know what to remove there.
com on - show me the info :D
What forum title? The one that is *Your Community Name*? Or Simple Machines Forum? Or what?.
If it's the first one I can help. Just use the attachment as your logo under current theme in admin.
I am talking about the name I chosed when I installed the forum. Yes the default name was 'Your Community Name' - I think.
The logo I already replaced it and everything is OK. It is just the Text- name (title) I want to remove. Look in the atached picture.
still no answer...
I'm not quite sure what you mean.
By default the theme will display:
-- Your community name
-- The SMF logo
The community name will change to your site logo, if you set this in theme settings
Where in Theme settings ? The only field I saw there was the one there I can chose another logo by writing the URL of the logo. I did that and now I have my logo, but the smf logo is still there.
The SMF logo isn't replaced by your logo. You have to edit the templates to remove it. Open index.template.php. Find:
<img class="floatright" id="smflogo" src="' , $settings['images_url'] , '/smflogo.gif" alt="Simple Machines Forum" />
And remove it.
