I want to use image attachments as background on my site. Everything was going well, but when I want to use thumbs most of those images set as background aren't visible.
The most interesting is that in Google Chrome everything is ok, but in Firefox or Opera only some of thumbs are visible.
I wrote this on my css file:
background-image: url('/forum/?action=dlattach;topic=5454;attach=454;image');
What is the problem? What can be done?
Using attachedimages like that would NOT be recommended.
It will add lots of extra queries/load to every page request.
SMF attachments system simply isn't intended (neither would I recommend) using it that way.
Also don't forget some of the images might not have thumbs depending on their size and filetype.
If you have that kind of access, why not just point to the server stored location? As per the issues raised by regularexpression.
