not sure if this is in the correct forum  ???

i'm just wondering if there is an autoinstall script for SMF, just like the one used by Fantastico, that i could download and use on my site to offer free forums?

your best bet would be to write your own. ;)

Isnt that re-distrabuting?

Im not sure if it only implies giving away the code, im not sure, I dont fully understand the license.

no, i've looked into hosting smf, they don't mind, but you will have to manually install them for customers, you could use cpanel if you have alicense or your reseller does, or you could write your own script.  :-\

there is nothing wrong with hosting SMF but selling it on for money or re-branding it and claiming it to be your own is not allowed.

i do have cPanel but Fantastico is using an outdated version (RC2) and it would be easy enough to install v1.0.2 manually myself.

EDIT;
i'm also a php newbie so there isn't much chance of me coding a script myself.
