Kirjoitti: depth - helmikuu 22, 2009, 08:06:04 AP
Hi members

Can anyone tell how to change a certain word on the index page?

I have installed a translation on my smf board, so if guests visit my site they are greated "welcome guest" translated into danish ofcourse. I want to change the translated danish word "guest", but don't know how to.

I use the default theme by the way....

Hope you can help....

/Christian

Hello.

Are you talking about the greeting in the header of the forum?
Then, go to ./Themes/default/languages/index.danish.php.

In that file, you should be able to find "$txt['welcome_guest']" (near line 180).
Change the text between the two ' to what you want instead. Make sure you dont remove any of the '.

Hi

I tried this, but that only caused me trouble. Firstly, I did not se any changes, so i deleted the cashe files. Now the site crashed and it could only be brought back online by coying the original file back and the deleting the cashe files again.

:(

Try this:

In ./Themes/default/languages/index.danish.php. find $txt['guest'] = 'Guest'; about line 569 and change 'Guest' to whatever you want to change it to.
