Otsikko: copyright error
Kirjoitti: Chronus - helmikuu 22, 2009, 02:04:46 IP
After upgrading from 1.1.8 to 2.0 RC1 I keep getting this error when not loged in:

Sorry, the copyright must be in the template.
Please notify this forum's administrator that this site is missing the copyright message for SMF so they can rectify the situation. Display of copyright is a legal requirement. For more information on this please visit the Simple Machines website.

How do I solve this? thank you.

solved: "overwriting all the language files with new ones"

had the same issue, I was adding a user to a membergroup and they would see that notice along with a bunch of jibberish, it wouldn't fix when I reversed it. Language folder reload fixed it.

Dont think this warrants a new thread so any adivce would be great

I replaced the the language files for the theme,

There is no change in the error. When I try a different theme; same error.

I was adding the remove quote images mod to the site when the forum error message occured. I also removed this mod.

Any help would be appreciated?

Make sure the language files are at 2.0 RC1 state, and that any themes are 100% 2.0 compatible.

Due to changes in $txt[] strings from 1.1 -> 2.0 this can result in missing strings and getting the error.
