I have a member of my forum that has offered to develop a theme for me, but would like access to the theme settings in order to test it and make changes as necessary. Is there a way to give him that access without other administrative functions? I looked at the available permissions, and it appears that there isn't. I'm running SMF 2.0 RC 1, by the way.
Two best options:
1) (best) see if they have a test ground to be able to set up their own test SMF site so they can build the theme(s) and then they can zip it up and you can install it as you would any other theme.
2) (decent) You set them up a test board with FTP access to that test site ONLY and then they can build the theme(s), then you can zip them up and install it as normal.
Either way, be sure to share the theme with us :P (j/k)
