SMF supports PHP 5 out of the box without any patches.  SMF does not, however, currently support mysqli - instead, it uses the same mysql used in PHP 4, which is common.

Yes, it supports WAP, WAP2, and I-mode... you can find out how by searching this forum.

How can I modify the forum to make it support mysqli?  I have php5 on my server (it doesn't allow mysql and mysqli to be used at the same time :( )

What?  Mine does... I'm not sure I know what you're talking about.

I can use both functions simultaneously.  In fact, the documentation specifically states:

LainaaIf you would like to install the mysql extension along with the mysqli extension you have to use the same client library to avoid any conflicts.

Now, why would it say that if you couldn't do it ;)?

This is a real eye-opener.  I thought I saw it somewhere that the two cannot be installed at the same time.  Thanks!
