Otsikko: Error After Installing Mod
Kirjoitti: drown2008 - maaliskuu 12, 2009, 02:28:52 IP
Was installing a bunch of new Mods not manually. I installed them from the package system. I had the Forum in Maintenance mode while i was doing it. I logged out forgetting to take the forum off maintenance mode, Had to go into the Settings.php and take it out of Maintenance mode. Now i am getting this error,

Template Parse Error!
It seems something has gone sour on the forum with the template system. This problem should only be temporary, so please come back later and try again. If you continue to see this message, please contact the administrator.

You can also try refreshing this page.

Anyone know how to correct this?

Thanks!

Depends on how many mods you installed. Any time you install a mod you just test  all forum features while the site is not in maintenance mod after the install and make sure there are no errors before moving on to the next mod install.

Can you please list the mods you installed.

-Advanced-Login-Form-v1.2
-ColorizeBoardsRC1
-ezPortal0.2.7

Those are the ones, i think it was the portal that did it.

Well without more information the only suggestion I can give is this. If the portal was the last mod you installed then you can look in the packages directory in ftp and there should be a subfolder called backups. In this folder you should find a package called something like

date_before_portal.tar.gz

Unzip those files and use them to replace the files that was changed in the install for the portal.
