Upgraded 1.1.8 to 2.0 rc1 and the posts are all unformatted. is this because of the theme?

1.x themes are not compatible with the 2.x version. You will need to get a 2.x version of the theme.
Im really surprised Dilber MC, one of the most popular 1.x themes, does not have an analog in 2.0????
Most likely because it is a mutli color theme and will take a lot of work to update. You can post in the theme support topic and ask the author when or if they plan to update the theme. You can find the support topic by clicking on the "comments on this theme" link from the download page.
