It looks like there's a problem with the visual verification image there. You need to find out what's causing the problem and correct it. This may be affecting your registration also if you enabled the visual verification. Do you have any mods installed or made any custom code edits to the forum?

You can set it so they don't need to go through the verification code when sending PMs, but I don't recommend leaving it that way. Something definitely is going wrong there and you might want to look into what's causing it. Check to make sure it's not affecting other areas like registration.
