Best 3 mod (Best Member - Best Topic - Best Moderator)

Description:

This mod allow you to see a small Nice table at the top under the menu
show the (Best Member - Best Topic - Best Moderator),
see the image . ;D

Compatibility With :

smf 1.1.X & smf 2.0

How to use:

Smf 1.1.x : Admin > Features and Options > Best3 mode for SMF - Settings
Smf 2.0 X : Admin > Modifications > Best3 mode for SMF - Settings

Language Supported :

Arabic - Czech -Danish - Dutch - English - French -Greek - Indonesian -portuguese_brazilian - Russian -Serbian_cyrillic - Serbian_latin - Spanish_latin - Turkish - Ukrainian

   *If you want to translate it to your language translate it and then replay in the support topic .

just a thought would it be possible to use the users avatar instead for the member and moderator ones...? i might also throw this into a block on the frontpage or at the bottom of my forum as well so its not so obvious

Hey guys.

I install this mod. But i can't find this
Admin > Features and Options > Best3 mode for SMF - Settings

It happens anyway by al my mods i am installing. When te installer is complete. I can't find de mod in de admin...... :(

I am sorry. I am a new SMF user. Just installed the core local en testing now. But tis is a problem i can't solve right now.

O and this is what it says when i click on "applay mod"

Copy language strings in your Modifications file, i guess Modifications.dutch.php

That should solve the problem... if not, try deleting cache from your browser...

That does not solve the problem. Its that noting works at all.

No mod i am installing through admin-> package is showing on the index of the site. So i don't now what i am doing wrong.  :(

I've got it  :D its the theme  default theme is the one where the mod shows. Not in my downloades theme. So how can i put mods in my downloaded theme? i know. Another question. Or is there a info file or manual where i can read these things.....

Allright. Thats the info i was missing. I tried the parse button choosing my version. But thats result in an error page. But now i'm looking at the right mods aspecialy for the version 1.1.8. Now i can modify some lines in some files and the mods are working.

Yes you can do that , edit the "Modifications" file and the image in your "images" directory .

Is there a way to link the name in mast mod and best user to that person profile page and same with best topic links to that topic

also it would be nice to add extra settings that auto pick people like best user would be the user that made the most post in the past X days. and best topic would be the wone with most new posts in past X days

is any of that possable?

PS im am not good at editing so and update file woudl be much better for me :P

Having used this mod previously it was becoming popular on the forum.

However despite manual edits I have been unable to get the mod working on the new theme.

We use 2.0 RC1-1 with the blackrain v2 theme.

Which piece of text should I remove to delete one of the two best 3s?

I have attached the index template for you to look at and also an image of the error.

I have added an image to my images folder as i want to change the 'best topic' to 'best game' but am unsure where the image should go and am also unsure of the location of the template where the best topic should be changed.

bro i tried to install ur mod on RC2 n it got installed without any error .... awesome mod  ;)

but there is some gap coming ... i've attached a pic to make the problem to be understood more properly ....

Nice mod !

However, how do i customize the size of the tables? I would want it to be smaller. Also, the images stretch if they are not the size you set it to be, how can we change it so that it does not stretch the image i place in it? I also notice that it gather background image from the main_block.png, but i dont want any background to display inside the picture area, i want the background to be transparent and only show the image i put in it.

This mod is  good but in fact this must be automatic assign the best members or the others...

For example top poster, top opener topic etc.

Firstly you should upgrade to 2.0.2 which is the latest version of the mod.

Have a look at the Mod Emulation link in my signature which will help with your query.

but the last part I do not understand what needs to be put there....
