I noticed the settings for Ungrouped members and New users...they are completely different but all new users are placed in both Groups.
Which permissions do new users follow?
Is it possible to remove the "Ungrouped Members" area and just stick with Admins, Mods and New Users?
& People think the "ungrouped" adjective is bad - use "regular members" instead. (Admin language files, ManageBoards language files, ManagePermissions.php)
Will that make people happy? Why does "ungrouped" seem to some people like something you have to fix?

Oh no! I didn't explain myself well enough.
All New Users are labelled in groups:
- New User
- Ungrouped User
Both New Users and Ungrouped Users have different permissions...it's not about the name, but what functions they provide.
On the same subject, I'd like all "New Users" to post a minimum of 10 posts before viewing attachments...but can't configure it as the option doesn't exist in "Permissions".
New User is probably just Newbie. I would create two "New User" post groups and give them both the same permissions, except the second would have "view attachments" Then make the second require 10 posts, and the first require 0. If you can't make two groups with the same name (can't remember if this restriction was added) they might have to have different names.
For Ungrouped Members, just set everything to disallow. Then only "New User" permissions will be used.
