Hi, I just set up a new forum for a website i'm doing for my stepdad. This is my second SMF forum. Both of my forums set up on one of my home PC's but using separate data bases.
When sending a personal message on the new forum, I get an error
" 2: Failed to Connect
File: C:\FoxServ\www\wextreme\Sources\Subs-Post.php
Line: 377"
The message does send, but I get this error every time. What can I do to stop from getting this message?
I tried downloading a fresh copy of SMF and re-uploading the Subs-Post.php file to my server, but it did not help
Sounds like your email setting are incorrrect in Admin > Edit Features and Options. You will probably want to use SMTP rather than sendmail with being on a windows box, either that or fill in a username and password and servername in your php.ini mail settings part.
