Title: mobile smf
Post by: tomcommathe on May 22, 2009, 02:25:16 AM
hello,

i am an admin on mopedstl.com/forum (http://mopedstl.com/forum) and i am having some trouble accessing our forum through WindowsMobile v6.1 Standard (IE). I know that Blackberry and iPhone works well with our forum, but for some reason all I get is "The Requested Page can not be displayed" when I point the browser.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Any easy fix? Is it server side or phone side?

Have you tried all 3 types? There is index.php?wap  index.php?wap2  and my favorite index.php?imode

What in the world do you mean by this? Some of our members have posted that they can see the forum photos on their blackberrys. So I searched it and found your post but it's greek to me. Does putting wap or wap 2 or mode after the index make it more readable on a blackberry?

WAP and WAP2 use SMF's built in wireless template. It basically strips SMF down to the bare essentials and makes it more compatible with mobile phones.
