Hello I'm new here in SMF Community and I heard lots of good feedback about this software.
I have some concerns regarding on how to convert SMF. I'm not really a computer savvy but I do understand and knows how to install a forum in theweb host. Right now I'm using MyBB. My concerns are,
will the backlinks be change after I convert it to SMF?
I have large community forum and I'm afraid that data will be lost after I will convert it.
How east it is to convert a forum to another forum software.?

Our converter doesn't modify your MyBB, only the table conted is copied to SMF during conversion. The backlinks are not converted but you can use Apache mod_rewrite to redirect the old links to the new links.
