I'm trying to work out what this error actually is. It only seems to affect guests but it's showing up in the error log all the time.
index.php?action=register2
You are not allowed to access this section
I've tried the URL as both admin and guest but it just takes me back to the index page.
Your guests are trying to access a board that they have no access permissions.
That's what I thought but I went through every board (as a guest) that's visible to guests but they all worked fine. I'll have another look though.
Edit: Nope all double checked and all fine. I've even checked for moved posts in those sections but there aren't any.
action=register2 seems to be the page that would complete registration (that is, what is happening after someone enters a name, a password, accepts the agreement etc, and submits the registration form).
Perhaps you can test registering a new username and see if it works or post what it does?
Yes, action=register2, actually registers the member into the database. It also checks to make sure all fields liek email are correct and filled in. Then it posts a thank message if you have registered successfully.
You cannot access it directly you must be passed from action=register.
Nick
Well I know registration is working as people have been registering. So this error could be just that when registering some people are entering the info in incorrectly?
Is this what you see in the error log?
index.php?action=register2

If not, can you copy and paste the error here please.
Here's an example:

I just see a white box.....
Not sure why. It's hosted on photobucket and working fine here?

94.142.129.212 that is consistent with that of a Comment Spammer ;)
just ban him :P
Oh, interesting detail!
Following Neng comment: http://www.stopforumspam.com/search?q=94.142.129.212
Thanks for the link and the info! I'll update the ban list :)
It seems that banning is seen as a user error. Is there any way to stop that being shown in the error log?
Ok, not to worry I can live with it. Thank you to everyone for their help :)
