Title: About to Convert from YaBB 2.1 - Quick check...
Post by: Ned-Kogar on June 15, 2009, 05:45:11 AM
Hello.

Well, SMF looks ace. I installed it on a spare site to have a muck about with and it looks smooth, adaptable, intelligently constructed and incredibly well administered via this site. Excellent.

Just before I convert my forum, I wanted to check whether I'd be best off removing any of these installed mods to ease conversion:

Edit Profile Fields
News Fader Color Update
AC Update Reg Settings
AC Update Profile Settings
AC Update Dimensions
Event Cal Mod

Several will be redundant (as SMF has improved ways of doing the same thing) and I'm worried that they'll somehow interfere with SMF's functions.

Thanks in advance.

SMF won't convert mods over. So any mods on Yabb will stay there.
If you installed mods in SMF, they should be fine to leave during the conversion.

Thanks. All up and running. It seems just as good as I'd hoped!
