Almost fit MKportal as good as it does SMF, very nice. MKportal "import" theme-colors from forum, not all works well. Many details and eyecandy, yet clean and functional.

very nice, very pro aswell.

First of its kind I believe. (This must be the theme rush now that SMF is more mature....)

Wow, I really like this theme. Nice clean lines and quite an individual styling.

Would be nice to see the same theme released in a few different colour themes.

Being new to SMF, I looked at a lot of themes and most of them were pretty standard looking and none seemed to offer the styling that phpBB offers, although i did choose SMF as i liked the features and setup/layout.

It's about time more individual themes like this were created.

Well done. Many congratulations on your creation :)

This is a very nice theme.  I now have it set as my default theme.  If there's one thing that I would change, it would be the Yahoo! and ICQ icons that stand out next to the posts.  You have nice buttons with everything on them, and then you have that one little Yahoo! smiley face and ICQ flower.

They can't be changed because they are hotlinked to the yahoo and the icq sites which check if a person is online. You would have to write a complicated php script to do that...

Hey Diplomat I am getting a strange graphical glitch when I use Firefox. When I post a link that takes more than a line normally it is divided into two lines and the link looks cool. But in Firefox the link doesn't get divided and an ugly scrollbar is produced. You can understand what I mean here:

I'd download it... but not with the restrictions. I belong to waaaay too many forums "just to access downloads", and then I'm expected to make 10 posts, non-spam? Sorry...   I'm wasting too much time perusing these forums for a decent theme as it is...

I really love this theme, and have used it as the base for my integrated mambo-smf forum at www.cache-community.co.uk (http://www.cache-community.co.uk).
I have swapped a few images in and out, but still proudly display your copyright.

I hope to see more of your work soon. 10/10.  8)

Great theme!!

Is there any way of getting the "Posts" and "Topics" columns in the index to be consistent in width? Mine are different in just about every section.

TIA

they should all be fixed in width. do you have any long boad descriptions that may scretch the table?

Got some "Child" boards on a couple.

Can I fix the width of the Posts and Topics?

Check my forum and see what you think - the name, topic and posts all seem to be variable.

Try posting your question in the author's original thread.  You might get a faster and more efficient response.

Here's a screenshot for you. Notice the slight difference in width between the "Prophecy" board and the "General" board (under the "Music" category)? The only difference is that all the other categories have at least one board with a longer description than the one for the "Prophecy" board, but that shouldn't make any difference in my opinion.

Hi,

Can someone tell me what to delete from the template file to remove the very top "bar" above the banner on the index?  I'm trying to save some space.

index.template.php

search for

// The logo, user information, news, and menu.

under that bit you will see an echo.

right under the echo you will see:

<table width="100%"  border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">

  <tr>

    <td width="120" height="30" align="left" valign="top"><img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/top_left.gif" width="120" height="30" alt=" " border="0" /></td>

    <td width="100%" style="background-image:url(' . $settings['images_url'] . '/top.gif)" align="center" valign="middle"></td>

    <td width="120" height="30" align="right" valign="top"><img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/top_right.gif" width="120" height="30" alt=" " border="0" /></td>

  </tr>

</table>

that is what you remove

Trying to add a 15% far right column to the ElemenT template.

I don't get any syntax errors, it displays upon load, but the right column doesn't show.

Can someone check my syntax? You can tell I'm not a coder.

Im having a problem with FireFox and my forum using ElemenT as a theme (SMF 1.1rc2)

The erm.. title/header bars.. dont stretch with the page (they dont fill up the background at the board/category titles) .. all works fine with internet explorer..

Fero~

[EDIT] Nvm.. I solved it.. The theme folder where I stored ElemenT had a space in the middle which caused the error at the style... [/EDIT]

I've gotten it partially to work on RC2. I just want to test if there are errors when I use it on an SMF board.

EDIT: I might need help with the messageIndex.php. There are errors that I don't know how to fix like...

QuoteParse error: parse error, unexpected T_GLOBAL in .../Themes/Element_1/MessageIndex.template.php on line 3
1: <?php// Version: 1.1 RC2; MessageIndex
2

3 global $context$settings$options$scripturl$modSettings$txt;
