Title: modifying users online so only admins can view actions of members
Post by: busterone on July 24, 2009, 10:43:05 PM
SMF 2 RC1.2
default theme

I have seen something similar to what I am looking for in 1.1.x,  but not for version 2.
What I want to do is modify the boardindex.template so that everyone can see how many users/guests are online, and see the users active in the last xx minutes  BUT, have it to be clickable for admins only. I do not want the non admins to be able to click and see what the other users are doing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.  :)

You do this in the admin area.

Not like I want, unless I missed something. If I turn off view users online in the regular members permissions, they also do not see anything on the main board index.  I want them to see who is online, but not be able to click it to get the page view of user's actions.   :)

Sorry, I was wrong. I was looking at the wrong tab. I have too many tabs open.  :)
