Title: Odest version I can convert
Post by: dcmeyer62 on July 29, 2009, 02:23:58 PM
Hello All!

I have a very old version of Yabbse, 1.0.0. The board is very popular and I dont want to loose anything. I had to disable registrations because I'm getting flooded with false registrations.

How can I upgrade to SMF? Do I need to upgrade to a newer Yabbse version first?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.

Seems to be a busy place here but nobody wants to answer.

Did I post in the wrong place for this? Please let me know if you can help.

I have installed the new forum, version 1.1.10. It's working fine and now I need to convert.

Ok, seems I did not ask a popular question but, I really don't think a simple "you're screwed" or "here's some advice" would have been that much to ask. With hundreds of members online every day an even an attempt to contact a mod (not for support, just a direction),  after wich I did not even get a reply. I would think I could at least get a response from someone.

I did not put myself in this position, I inherited this board. I don' want this headache, but I have it. It seams now people in my position are your headache, but you don't want any of it.

Have I spoken to soon? Has nobody with the information or nobody from the "team" seen my post yet? If so I apologize. But you should not pump this SMF up like it's "the best thing since...." unless you intend to help everyone. Looks like everyone with an installation problem gets a response right away.

P.S.

Sorry for the Star Trek thing
