Hi,
great theme but....i cant take my own logo up right ?
If i set a url in "logo image url" it does not appear. Is it possible to change the logo ?
yes in the style.css look for: #logo {
Great theme. But is it possible to increase the size of the logo?
It's been a while since I've been using CSS, so an example would be most appreciated.
Thanks!
style.css Find: #logo { height: xxpx; width: xxpx; }
How I can set the forum windth?
Style.css find : .wrap { 97%; }
Ho, sorry Crip, i'm talking about 2.0 version. Nice them btw, very beautifull
2.0 version same way
Thank's Crip!
Hi!
First thanks for this great theme!!!
But i have an question/problem with this theme, just have a look at the attached screenshot. "My Messages" in English is called "Meine Mitteilungen" in German, and i think this Translation is too long for the button. How can i fix this button?
Thanks in advance for an reply.
You can make the font-size: a smaller size & or use a smaller font-family: arial narrow;} or put a {letter-spacing: -1px;}

....not so easy , so have Fun :P
Hehe. I'll manage. Used to do lots of web programming a few years ago, so I'll figure it out.
Nice theme, Crip ;)
I'm really sorry to drag this thread up, but is there any chance that this awesome theme will be updated for RC2? I've installed it and there seems to be a problem with the images for some odd reason. On the index and posts, none of the theme images are showing up and an extra "/" is added before the image. For example - "hxxp://www.mysite.net/boards/themes/actualism20/images//new.png" - so it's showing the text and only the text.
I've also tried "Loner" and it works perfectly, so I'm assuming it's a compatibility problem. Thanks ahead of time if you can get around to it and thanks anyways for the great theme.
I understand. I think it may be a bug with SMF anyway - http://dev.simplemachines.org/mantis/view.php?id=3937
Thats bad news Crip. What a pity! Very nice theme what we use a long time.
Yeah definitely. Beautiful and simple. My forum members are going to be sad about the change.
UPDATED 2.0 RC2 VERSION!
I feel the original actualism (version 1.1.10) was very good. The latest version containing 2 box per block as in the curve theme is not looking nice and looks ordinary because there were so many themes now replicating the curve theme.
Hope you will release a original version too., the header and the body in one box. Thanks.
thank you . :)
Crip,
This is a awesome looking theme!
A few things.
When you shrink the theme in your browser. The wood pic goes out side of the frame.
Also how do you change the forum size? It's way to big even at 1280 x 800
What version dkharp ?
edit 2.0 is found here:
/* This division wraps the entire forum when a forum width is set. */
div#wrapper
{
width: 1240px;
border: 10px solid #333333;
margin: 0 auto;
}
1.1 version in style.css just find : #wrapper { }
-----------------------------------------------------------
I thought so.
When I change it. All it does is shrink the banner area not the forum. Any ideas?
What version bro ?
Hey Crip, I really like this theme. I think I can make it fit for my site far as style. Don't know if you remember but I was the one asking on TP about your skillz on a theme that would go well with a gunsite for gunowners for the state of MO.
Anyways, When I changed the size it just changed the header and not the size of the whole forum.
I'm running

Hi Crip!
Really nice theme! thanks for share it
I have used it as a base for our forum (credits remain there, of course!)
But, I have no idea why, but the menu is not using the 100% width, Im going crazy...
here a screenshot:
(https://www.simplemachines.org/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg521.imageshack.us%2Fimg521%2F2966%2Factualismmenugoesdown.png&hash=04162d883c831b2db47c9a8ca886921a0067050b)
It is going down at the "MIS" item (Mis mensajes = private messages... after that is the calendar, users, logout...)
this is the html code, it looks normal:
<div id="toolbar">
<div id="menu">
<ul id="navi"><li><a class="current" href="http://cbabikes.com.ar/foros/index.php"><span>Inicio</span></a></li><li><a href="http://cbabikes.com.ar/foros/index.php?action=help"><span>Ayuda</span></a></li><li><a href="http://cbabikes.com.ar/foros/index.php?action=rules"><span>Mandamientos</span></a></li><li><a href="http://cbabikes.com.ar/foros/index.php?action=search"><span>Buscar</span></a></li><li><a href="http://cbabikes.com.ar/foros/index.php?action=admin"><span>Administración</span></a></li><li><a href="http://cbabikes.com.ar/foros/index.php?action=moderate"><span>Moderar</span></a></li><li><a href="http://cbabikes.com.ar/foros/index.php?action=profile"><span>Editar Perfil</span></a></li><li><a href="http://cbabikes.com.ar/foros/index.php?action=pm"><span>Mis Mensajes</span></a></li><li><a href="http://cbabikes.com.ar/foros/index.php?action=calendar"><span>Calendario</span></a></li><li><a href="http://cbabikes.com.ar/foros/index.php?action=mlist"><span>Usuarios</span></a></li><li><a href="http://cbabikes.com.ar/foros/index.php?action=logout;d671cc10c=304414fea1ffda9ee55b553467094015"><span>Salir</span></a></li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
I have been hours looking in the css, navi, ul, li, menu, toolbar... no idea what is doing that "break" in the menu...
If I set navi overflow to auto I can see how the other words goes down, in a new line...
any idea?
best regards, and sorry for my bad english :)
oh, btw
here is the website: cbabikes.com.ar (http://cbabikes.com.ar/foros/)
to see the break menu you need an user (if not the menu is shorter)
Issue solves, I guess....
commented the uppercase lines in the CSS... and the "long" menu goes visible...
no idea why the menu was handled in that way (breaking at 600px and no more... as the width is 950px)

Hi Crip,
thanks for this update.
There seems to be some problem with the latest Actualism version and the user stats.
My output is the same as on your demo board:
http://demo.jpr62.com/index.php?action=profile;area=statistics;u=1;theme=34
The same problem appears at several other themes of you. Any hints how we can fix this?
Thanks in advance for a reply.

Hi! I seem to be having trouble changing the logo in RC3. If I change it in the Stylesheet at #logo, nothing happens, nor does it change when you put in an new logo url in Current Theme.
Clear your browser cookie, cache , A few hard Refresh it will show..

Try checking with the Default theme & refresh the image several times, then check on Actualism ?
...a shot in the dark ....?
...this seems to happen with only those using any lanuages other than English ..? utf-8 ?
Hi!
Thanks for your reply. The default and core themes are working without a problem:
http://www.rivaforum.de/forum/index.php?action=register&theme=1
http://www.rivaforum.de/forum/index.php?action=register&theme=7
And yes, i'm using german-utf8. :)
you add / include your German UTF8 language files / folder in Actualism / (languages) folder see if that helps??
Hi!
Thanks again for your reply. I did some tests, and set the default language of my board to english (not utf-8) and this problem still exist:
http://www.rivaforum.de/forum/index.php?action=register
so i don't think it's a problem with the language file. :(

Greetings Sir. This theme is lovely. There's just one small problem I noticed. The member's list box is a lil bigger then the page. Could you please tell me where I might fix this? I'm using SMF 1.1.11 if that helps. :)
Thanks again for the beautiful theme.
it helps yes ,
..Is that only when using IE browser ? ... or others as well??
That was in Firefox. But I just tried it in IE for you & it's the same thing.
Can you show a screenshot of it?
(https://www.simplemachines.org/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg268.imageshack.us%2Fimg268%2F4845%2Fscreenshotn.gif&hash=6a03d76d28df959ee1c78993384d6a49cc185261) (http://img268.imageshack.us/i/screenshotn.gif/)
Uploaded with ImageShack.us (http://imageshack.us)
I noticed something else too. In Firefox the lil spacer line's missing from in between the boards. There's one after the first board & that's it. In IE is ok. Screen shot attached. :)
Yes .. I remember now ..
a member told me of this same thing like last year? ..
...I didn't fix it then (obviously); but i will look @ it again ASAP!
OK ..
not sure if it's a 'fix' ?.. but in style.css remove the below code:
.left,.alignleft {
float: left;
}
.right,.alignright {
float: right;
}
..I do suggest upgrading to: RC3 :)
No it didn't work. Not for the members page or the missing space bars. And for the member's page...it don't work in IE either.
What's happening on the members list page is also happening in the admin control panel (& again with the members list). Screen shot attached.
Also notice on the members list (be it front end or back end) there's a spacer missing between JustEd & Kathleen. Again this spacer stuff don't happen in IE...only in Firefox??? It's not a biggie...many people wouldn't even notice. I'm just wondering why. :)
PS...isn't RC3 for beta sites?

Crip! Yo! Excellent work - all the way around. Two questions?
1.) Actualism:
When the news is disabled in the header (not the newsfader) it misaligns the entire forum.
Screenies attached:

Any idea on why? Or how to fix? I'm using the SMF 2.0RC3 version.
I said I had two questions.
2.) Will there be a Mac Like for SMF 2.0RC3? (I hope!!!)
Thanks for all your GREAT work, Crip!

Hi!
I have some odd issues with HOURS...
for example: in the main index or lists of new unread messages... a post shows 19:39... when I see the post... it shows 22:39...
+3 hours
allways that... +3 difference
can be that a theme issue?
where to see/investigate?
edit: I saw the demo forum... and it is working ok... the same hour in posts and index... :(
suppose it;s SMF way ??

Just for the records, i've found the reason of this problem. There was a space before the <?php in the index.template.php of my Actualism installation, that was the reason for the problem with the not showing captcha image... :o

UPDATED 2.0 RC4 VERSION with a New* Drop_Menu!
Hello Crip,
I'm currently working on a new forum using your theme but I'm currently having some trouble adding links/tabs to the main menu.
After creating some custom pages and adding links to them on the main menu, I realised the hover effect for the links I created looks 'broken'. Works fine on the default tabs. I've tried everything I could think of to solve this problem and only came here as a last resort.
I really need help correcting this. You can take a look at the site here - e b i z 4 a f r i c a . c o m
Of course, you'd need to take out the spaces in between :)
Looking forward to your response!
there is no span
look at the html source code generated
luuuciano,
problem solved, thanks to you!
Thanks!!! ;D
Now I've got another issue... I need to add Google ads one across the top and another to the right side. Been looking for any mods for Adsense with no luck. Any ideas please??
Thanks!
you will have to add it by hand, looking at the template code... go and add things like AAAAAAAAAAA... when you find the right spot... put the adsense code there, customize it to your needs, etc
(you can use ads mods... but you will need to add code by hand anyway, since actualism is not equal to the curve theme)
Okayy,
Thanks again!

crip. thanks for the info but i have no idea what i am doing.
i want to add a button that when they click on it, it will take them back to my main homepage (off the forum page).
i dont know anything about coding, i though maybe they would have a mod or something. i am new to this and havent donated anything before so i understand if you dont want to spend the time explaining to me. iam a noob!!!
Great Theme Crip. Just an FYI: It's better to use class="copyright" on your copyright <li> tag for the theme in the footer, so that it will have it's own line and will not place the content below it on the same line (e.g. the XHTML RSS and WAP2 links are on the same line as your copyright and just looks a bit messy).
Also, the Admin, profile, and PM areas in your theme display a HUGE empty space to the right. This is fixed now in SMF 2.0 Gold, so it shouldn't be hard to fix this in your theme.
Cheers :)
Ok Newbie here well kinda...lol In the Default Theme SMF Default Theme - Curve and others there is an option to change the logo, I dont see this in any this theme, is this something that has to be added and if so where?
here is a screen shot of what I am talking about.
(https://www.simplemachines.org/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi53.tinypic.com%2Fjfvrcz.jpg&hash=1a98a3da2a395e289a95612a3ca8fa57e717694a)
Found out how change it in the css/index.css to a gif file but is there a way to make flash work?
I removed what isn't needed for this theme..and all the rest..

Any idea about how to solve this?
I have lost my eyes trying to find a solution to it... I tried changing things on the css, but can not find a solution... so all the admin/profile/etc pages have something like a clear: both, where is not needed...

I have not updated yet (anyway, I have downloaded... will do a check for differences on files...)
It might bro'
go ahead and try if you want
Well, I have updated to smf 2.0 (Ill have to some day so), and then actualiced the actualism theme (but keeping my values, some colors, etc)... and I have the same problem... maybe its because Im using a 950px forum instead 960?
What can be wrong? a width value somewhere?
(will continue checking later, have to go now)
I also have the same problem, and we are updated. The quick reply box also goes way off the screen to the right...
Try this
Quote from: Eudemon on June 27, 2011, 07:36:41 PM
go to ur theme's index.css
find
#quickReplyOptions form textarea
change everything inside the { }
to
height: 100px;
width: 635px;
max-width: 100%;
min-width: 100%;
margin: 0.25em 0 1em 0;
Unfortunately, that didn't help. However, looking at the source code, I found < textarea cols="600" rows="7" name="message" tabindex="1"></textarea > I think there's 1 too many 0's in there, and I'm guessing that's in the default theme. Where would I find that?

(will continue checking later, have to go now)
I just commented the .clear section in the css... it was the only solution (I think that it is because Im using a roght column to show banners...)
BTW, I have changed the 600 cols to 60 (or any other value you like) (in /Sources/DisplayTemplate.php)
There is a guide about changes you may do to convert themes to 2.0 gold properly... I can not find it (the 600 cols is ok, should not afect the display on properly done themes they say)... did you updated your actualism theme after actualizing smf?
Maybe the latest version is properly done

This is the correct coding for
Quick\Reply
/* Styles for the quick reply area.
---------------------------------------------------- */
#quickreplybox
{
padding-bottom: 1px;
}
#quickReplyOptions .roundframe
{
padding: 0 10%;

{
height: 100px;
width: 635px;
max-width: 100%;
min-width: 100%;

}
Great Theme. Wonderful Work.
Hey Crip,
thanks for this update. I found a small typo in the index.css file:
background: #0a0a0a url(../images/art/ACnavbg.png);
in line 3708 should be:
background: #0a0a0a url(../images/art/Acnavbg.png);
This is only important on unix/linux systems.
Thanks & noted.
Thank you, that fixed it.
Hi Crip, great theme, love it.
I've been using RC3 and today I upgraded to 2.0 Gold. Since I've changed a lot of things in the theme myself, I have some optimization issues with the Gold edition. Can you send me the link of the original RC3 index.css and index.template.php files so I can figure out exactly what I've changed and adjust the Gold edition?
Thanks, great work.
There is no RC3 version of ACT theme , only 2.0 & 1.1
But there was, right? What I want is the old files, if you're still keeping them.
Nah , I have what you have.. sorry bro'

Hello Crip
I had another very small problem with your theme.
You can see it in the admin center and it´s only with your theme!
http://www.renault5turbo.de/forum/index.php (http://www.renault5turbo.de/forum/index.php)
And will it be an update for 2.0.2?
Thanks

Hi & yes

padding: 1.5em 1em 0 1em;
text-align: left;

#userarea a:link, #userarea a:visited {
color: #e3e3e3;
}
#userarea a:hover {
color: #FAFAFA;
text-decoration: underline;
}
Thanks for the update crip, love it!
Sorry to ask the same question that has been asked before, but how do I remove/change the logo in 2.0.2?
css/index.css Find:
/* Banners Logos Here! */
#logo a {
position: absolute;
top: 0.84em;
right: 25px;
display: block;
width: 207px !important;
height: 54px !important;
cursor: pointer;
background: url(../images/art/logo.png) no-repeat;
}
Thanks for the amazingly fast reply Crip! That's great, I'll love this theme even more with my own name at the top :D :D
Sorry, me again. I have uploaded via FTP a new logo, which I have imaginatively named "logo1.png" into the same directory as your logo.png. Then I modified the code to:
Quote/* Banners Logos Here! */
#logo a {
position: absolute;
top: 0.84em;
right: 25px;
display: block;
width: 207px!important;
height: 54px!important;
cursor: pointer;
background: url(../images/art/logo1.png) no-repeat;
But my logo isn't showing, I just have blank wood.... What am I doing wrong?
Edit: Ah I've sussed it - my file was too big! Please what's the filesize limit for this? Thanks :)
It shouldn't be as High as the Header.
- You must add your image Height & Width in the code above !important;
Over-writing my stupid question....
Love the theme Crip, thank you :D
I've been posting this in the 2.x support thread, but just discovered that there is no problem in the default theme, so I'm back here.
I'm running Actualism on SMF 2.0.2, but although my News Fader works exactly as it should with Firefox and Chrome, with IE9 the news items just show all together as a static list. I have already checked the .css file and saw that the news fader is already set with the six digit hex code rather than the shorthand, and as I said, the news fader works just fine in IE9 if I switch to default theme.
Please, how can I fix this?
I use a mac , so I can't access IE , I will check into it ASAP!
A little question... where is used the last (new) icon of /images/theme/quickbuttons.png ?
(just checking changes between new version and the one Im using... and saw that new icon... at least new to me, lol)

It can be used on most any post or topic by clicking the drop down.
I'm only partly bumping - this is still an issue, but I have another one I want to ask you as well. This has been an issue right from the start and not really bothered me as it's only me and my co-admin who can see it. However, now my forum is getting pretty damn near perfect ;) I'd like to try and sort out all the little things too if possible. I've attached a screenshot to illustrate, but basically, in the Moderate menu dropdown, the "Unapproved posts and topics" runs into the "Unapproved attachments". Is there any way of fixing this please?

Changing it to 210 didn't work, but 220 worked a treat! Brilliant, thank you :D
U could use a smaller Font-type / size / like [ 0.9em; ]
Thanks, good idea, I will try it and ask my co-admin how her eyesight is ;)
Have you managed to look at my news fader thing? Are my IE visitors just going to have to live with it?
Have you checked it using IE?
I have set up two news items for demo purposes. Item number 1: "Test news item", item number 2: "Blah blah blah". I now have four browsers installed on my computer so have tried it on all of them myself. On Firefox, Chrome and Opera, the two news items fade and alternate as they should, but on IE9, they are both shown together statically, no fade, no movement. If I revert to the default theme, then they do alternate and fade in IE also. I attach a screenshot of the two news items in IE.
Okay,
I will get someone who uses IE & try to fix it.

The text to show unread posts since last visit etc. has the clickable links in a slightly grey colour compared with the non-clickable white text (screenshot attached). I would like it all to be the same colour, white. I have just been through the .css file with a fine tooth comb but can't identify where to modify this - please can you give me a clue?
Thank you ;)
Sabrinova, do you use firefox? the web browser... if not, install it
Then, search for firebug extension... install it, restart firefox
Go to your website... hit key F12, firebug panel will open at bottom...
Hit the CSS tab... then hit the arrow at left... then move the cursor over that text... and click on it (that makes a selection on that "thing", keeping it selected... so you can move the cursor and properties at rigth are mantained)
So... look on the properties section, at right... there you can see all the interacting css values... search for your color, see the file, see the line...
In fact, you can change it "on the fly", try it... (changes are not made to that file, but you can test other colors & properties until making it for real)
Hope you undertand all that... it will give you the tools to change the world! (?)
Yes I use Firefox and ooooh that sounds exciting!! :D I'm off to look for Firebug, will report back. Thank you :)
Ok, I managed up until I had to understand what it was showing me. When I clicked on "Show unread posts since last visit", the little properties window gave me what's in the attached screenshot.
Index. css line 5 is
a:link, a:visited
and #800000 is red, not greyish.
Oh I just realised you can see what those each of those lines are. I can't see anything there that corresponds to anything I can edit to change the colour I want to change.... What am I missing?
Can you share the link to it? to check there
btw, properties like this mean that another property have precedence over it, the "cascade style sheet" thing...
Thank you :) It's a closed forum for the moment, but you can log in with username temp.
this

Hi, a very nice theme Crip. Is it possible to make the text for the news a little larger? Thank you.
Sure ,
css/index.css Find and change Font-size:
#news {
position: absolute;
float: left;
clear: both;
top: 10.5em;
left: 1.5em;
text-align: left;
font-size: 11px; <<=========== /* SEE , CHANGE IT HERE */
color: #FFF;
font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
width: 50%;
}
#news a:link, #news a:visited {
color: #e3e3e3;
}
#news a:hover {
color: #FAFAFA;
text-decoration: underline;
}
Thank you Crip. And also can I move the position of the news up a bit, it does not all appear in ipad/iphone. Need to be a little higher.
Thank you.
Yes ,
In the same code above ([top:9em;]) to your liking.
Hi, what is the maximum size the logo can be please? Thank you.
Hi, got it, must be smaller than the header at 140. Thanks.
Hi, could I replace the wood with a graphic that spans the width of the forum? Thanks for your help.

Hi, I've been following this issue on the newsfader with great interest to see if the issue with IE could be resolved, and I must say, super solution!
I've now slipped the code into my own forum and its all systems go regarding newsfader functionality, but I have one more question to ask if I may - instead of an actual colour for the background (#e3e3e3 in this case), is it possible to set the background to transparent?
I set mine to white in the end, #ffffff and it still works fab :)
Hi, would there be any chance of a graphic, similar to the search area box with the nice rounded corners but bigger to go in the 'userarea' in the header. I have put a different graphic in place of the wood and now it's a little hard to read the text.
A black box there would make the text stand out nicely.
Many thanks.
Also I wonder if you could possibly do a 'Poll' icon. The SMF theme is easy to miss in the list of threads.
IPB have a great one that just says 'POLL' on it. Could you possibly do one in keeping with your great theme?
Thanks in advance :)
Lol..
I can try si36.
Hi Crip,
Excellent work with the theme, it's fantastic.
I am currently modifying your theme for my site running version 1.1.16 and so far things are going well, just wondering though there is a folder containing buttons for things like New Topic, Add Poll etc.. but on the theme the links show as plain text rather than using the buttons, how would I go about displaying the buttons instead of text.
I would post a link but as it's a work in progress it's not available to others yet, hopefully you understand what i'm after.
Cheers.
I need a screen shot to seeeeeee it?
(https://www.simplemachines.org/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.liveforfootball.co.uk%2Fscreenie.jpg&hash=96a7e7b569de687797750be8e342fbc4dfd80af7)
As you can see the links Mark Read, Notify, New Topic & New Poll are showing as plain links, I want to get them to show up as the buttons located in images/english folder.
Sorry bro'
..that's just the way it was made with Text-Links , in most of my => 1.1 versions..
-----possibly use Babylon Theme for a reference..?

(https://www.simplemachines.org/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fs14.postimage.org%2Fnnddj7iwh%2FUntitled.png&hash=c2e401c165e5db9b860f018ce10bd79f5cadd773)
@nick111 , I have no idea about that?
What shoutbox you're using?
SMFPacks Shoutbox 1.0.4

I'm assuming that you're using SMF 2.0, and you don't need to edit any of this themes files. Just default theme. Also, this is only displayed to guests.
./Themes/default/BoardIndex.template.php
echo '
<div id="boardindex_table">
if ($context['user']['is_guest'])
echo '
<div style="margin: 15px 15px;">
<div style="padding-left: 45px; padding-right: 45px;">
<div style="border-radius: 10px 10px 10px 10px; background:#d4e8ff none repeat scroll 0 0; border:1px solid #42a1de; margin:5px 10px 0; text-align:center; ">
<div style="padding: 0pt 5px; background: #42a1de none repeat scroll 0% 0%; -moz-background-clip: border; -moz-background-origin: padding; -moz-background-inline-policy: continuous; -moz-border-radius-topleft:6px; -moz-border-radius-topright:6px; ">
</div>
<table width="100%" border="0">
Donec mollis pharetra orci a varius. Donec tristique dictum massa at tristique. Suspendisse facilisis massa at ante lobortis rutrum. Maecenas euismod pretium arcu id varius.
</table>
</div>
</div>
</div>';
Result is in attachment. You can edit the Lorem Ipsum with your text(HTML) and change the colors for whatever suits you.
thanks Costa ;)
You're welcome mate. :)
Hi Crip
Is it possible to make the drop down menu slightly bigger on this theme just that it looks really small on a 24in monitor it hurts the (old) eyes.
(https://www.simplemachines.org/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi48.tinypic.com%2F35ddzcz.png&hash=3bb77d2ad8a08292564ebaf79c2c9aa9129bf4d2)
=> possibly add more padding for [ inputs / selects / textarea ] .. but I'm not sure on that ..?
Crip, is it possible to change the order of the Menu bar? For instanc the logout button closer to Home or in the middle ofd the bar?
If so, can you direct me to the file location that would need modified?
Thanks in advance

Awesome. 2.0 . Thanks
I would like see a screenshot or www.link-to-theme ??
Thanks. Right now it's stock out of the box. I would like to essentially replace the wood header with an image of a montage of images of artists creating art, but all in one .png or .jpg.
You can either find you a repeating header to use , or an image / banner/logo after you set your forum-Width so to fit the overall header-width..?
....i think is what your asking...?
Sorry for the delay! Yes exactly. I'd like to have a banner image instead of the repeating header. Something that conveys the spirit of the forum.
Interesting point that I didn't think of, the limited width that would happen. Maybe just a banner floating over the header so the forum width could still change?
well, the " "width would prolly be ok via Width settings #wrapper { width: 98%; } -
the height: shouldn't be higher than the Header..
- Others has done this as well!!!

JUST UPDATED 2.0.4 VERSIONA few bugs removed..
- un-needed/old code removed.
Crip, I know I have seen this somewhere before but I can't find it now. Where do you go to modify the Menu Bar? I need to spread it out a little bit.
Thanks in advance.
that would be in the ...../css/.index.css it's near the bottom of stylesheet.
Good, I am using this theme in my forum, but, I have a question:
"How I can repair the bugs of new post's images in topics?"
You just have a lack of SMF knowledge friend.

Yes, but you may say the archive's name for edit?
prolly best to just FTP upload and overwrite the images?

Yes, but I don't found the images that show the new messages in topic not read.
It's a question basic, however I am having problems with this. ;D
You may say the archives's name and the directory in your theme?
Are you talking about this? (https://www.simplemachines.org/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fmedia.simplemachinesweb.com%2Fsmf%2Fdefault%2Fimages%2Fenglish-utf8%2Fnew.gif&hash=97229824fdff525fb486f442085f9d1db994739b) ?

Yes, here in my forum, this always is bug and errored.
Which is the name of image archive, to I repair this?
new.gif
You should find it under Themes/default/images/english
You have to copy it to Themes/default/images/your_language_here
Or in this theme's folder, if it exists there.

Ok, since it turns out I had to do some work with this theme anyway (curse that ChalkCat :D) here's a solution to this question (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=532308.0).
In index.css
/* Avatar Fix */
#smf-avatar {
float: left;
padding-top: 5px;
padding-right: 10px;
}
/* Avatar Fix */
#smf-avatar {
float: left;
padding-right: 10px;
}
#smf-avatar>.avatar {
max-height: 60px;
}
#news {
position: absolute;
float: left;
clear: both;
top: 10.5em;
left: 1.5em;
text-align: left;
font-size: 11px;
color: #FFF;
font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
width: 50%;
}
#news {
clear: both;
text-align: left;
font-size: 11px;
color: #FFF;
}
#header {
position: relative;
height: 140px;
overflow: hidden;
background: url(../images/art/topperbg.png) 0 0 repeat-x;
}
#header {
position: relative;
min-height: 140px;
overflow: hidden;
background: url(../images/art/topperbg.png) 0 0;
}
thanks man good job

The avatar looks strange to me now. Is it possible to move the news to the middle...?
I have problem with this Theme under SMF 2.0.15 and PHP 7.1 + PHP 7.2 anyone else ? With PHP 5.4 its working fine.

What happens in the 7.x branch the syntax of the variable is changed foreach (http://php.net/manual/en/control-structures.foreach.php) for which you have to edit the new structure so that it works correctly!
Regards!
Thank you so much. I am not an expert with PHP, can you lead me please to the solve ? I have many mods running and this Theme is the best for us, so I do not want switch to an other, my Hosting Provider will move me soon to PHP 7.x :-\
I'm doing tests with PHP: 7.2.10 along with some modifications of SMF to work moderately and the theme does not mark any error in the error log. If the theme should not give problems (at least I could not replicate the problem) can be from some mod... *Thinking about it*
Regards!
Thank you. I do a compare with WinMerge , my index with the orignal index. I have there only extra the random image mod from SMF Gallery, will test it later without this mod.
// SMF Gallery Recent Images on Index
if (allowedTo('smfgallery_view'))
{
global $boardurl;
// Check if the gallery url has been set if not use the default
if(empty($modSettings['gallery_url']))
$modSettings['gallery_url'] = $boardurl . '/gallery/';
echo '
<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="5" border="0" align="center" width="100%" class="tborder">

$rowlevel = 0;
$maxrowlevel = 4;
foreach ($context['gallery_recent'] as $picture)
{
if ($rowlevel == 0)

<span class="smalltext">';
echo $picture['title'] . ' - ' . $picture['profilelink'] ;
if (!empty($modSettings['gallery_set_t_filesize']))
echo $txt['gallery_text_filesize'] . $picture['filesize'] . '<br />';
if (!empty($modSettings['gallery_set_t_date']))
echo $picture['date'] . '<br />';
echo '</span></td>';
if($rowlevel < ($maxrowlevel-1))
$rowlevel++;
else
{
echo '</tr>';
$rowlevel = 0;
}
}
if($rowlevel !=0)
{
echo '</tr>';
}
echo '</table>';
}
// End SMF Gallery Recent Images on Index
// Show the navigation tree.
theme_linktree();
}
Ok, I found an old mod "Avatars on Board/MessageIndex"
Version 2.0 - Dec 28, 2017
- Fixed: Illegal string offset 'value' (due > PHP 7.1)
- Added: Proxy for external avatar urls
which was not up to date, I update it to the latest Version and the Errors was gone. After that I got new more errors with create_function() errors. I installed this mod and all is now running fine https://web-develop.ca/index.php?action=downloads;area=stable_smf_modifications;file=48
Thank you for your time you spent in my problem.
Kind Regards
