Notes1. The buttons, images and theme are free as long as you use them with SMF!
2. The calendar idea is from Bloc.
3. Admin -> Current Theme's Settings -> Use your own logo if you want to replace the logo with your own.
4. Admin -> Current Theme's Settings -> If a user does not pick avatar, show this will effect how to handle users with no avatars in the topic screen.
5. See attached files for badges and a Display.template.php which you can copy it over the original one to get same look as the default one.
6. Another variant of Display is made by scip (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?action=profile;u=13309l) and can be found here (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=33352.msg290977#msg290977)!
7. In case your avatar settings are set larger than 65x65, you'll need to modify the code: <div style="overflow: auto; width: 65px; height: 65px;"> in Display.template.php to the size you prefer.
*- If you have installed an old version of this theme, please read the changes (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=31935.0)!
*- If you are installing on SMF 1.1 RC1 please read the Upgrade (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=33352.msg385056#msg385056)

Wow! ;D
AMA, I think you have outdone yourself with this theme. The graphics are just amazing, and the layout ideas are great. The round bars on top of the categories contrast real well with the soft shades elsewhere, really nice.
Also like the calendar idea ;). I think the small "quick-calendar" next to the main are brilliant and makes the vertical-view even better.
Will test it more now...but congrats on a really nice theme!
One of the best theme's I've seen
I like it too. Nice, clean and simple. But had few "new" ideas :)
Nice theme :). I'm uploading it now.

Really Great Work cool theme.
Thank you for making this really wonderful theme. 8) Mr. A.M.A, you are really great designer!! ;)
Well, there is a part that I noticed though it is a trifling thing. A board name and a topic name are displayed at a right side in IE 5.01. style="float: right;" seems to influence.

Cool, looking good.
Thanks .. all
Truly appreciate your feedback, and glad you find it worthy of your comments.

Never really liked that first try ;)
I was going to make the calendar viewed as weeks and days .. but found it difficult if not impossible without altering the source.
koni
The IE factor strikes again :)
You might try to use float:left for the parent div, though am not sure of it will work. The sure remedy for this is by replacing the divs with a table.
A.M.A, did you know you can install Internet Explorer 5.0 on the side of whatever you have now?
Looks nice.

Yes, form a post by you ;) though I never tried it. I was planning on installing the ones we will agree on being the lowest requirements for the NDT.
Heh, seems my site work with IE 4 :D
I think, for now, we can't exclude 5.5 or 5.0. 5.5 at least. Thing is, a lot of corporate environments have Windows 2000, with 5.0... and you can't upgrade. Period. No question, no wonder - it won't happen. And, these offices are often against upgrading to XP; hence we should really keep 5.x. I personally also want to keep 4.0...
Internet Explorer 4.0 isn't that bad, actually, with support. But it has its issues.
-[Unknown]
thanks A.M.A
looks really great !!
Very unique, has some capabilities which differs from the default theme. Very good job again A.M.A. :)

Thank you for the reply Mr. A.M.A. :)
There was no change though I put float:left in parent div. Then, I put and deceived
<span style="float: left;">. It seems not to have the problem seemingly. And, I installed SMFone in the site of me on Web. :D

I expect that it is an influence of the bridge, and the error occurs and when the theme is specified with URL on my site, the page is not displayed in the first time.
Please push the F5 key with the Ctrl key pushed. The page is displayed.

It is useful to put the error appearing on the page though, which is the following:

Not sure whether those would help. I guess the question might be, did this error crop up after you edited the file you did? What file did you edit? You may well want to uninstall the theme and then reininstall it. I have to wonder what % of your audience based on stats is using IE 5? Mine is like less than 1%...
Note: I edited the path to your public_html in the error message posted above as I did not know if you would be unhappy with that info appearing here or not.

Thank you for the reply Miraenda. I wish to express my gratitude for your kindness. :) This is generated by using Mambo Bridge (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?board=77.0). This error doesn't occur if Mambo Bridge is not used. And, there is no problem when usually using it if the theme is not specified with URL even when Mambo Bridge is used.

It still has some problems though Mambo Bridge is developed aggressively. However, it doesn't worry about me so much. I wish to express my gratitude to people who are developing Mambo Bridge. :D

Looking good .. glad you have fix it.I have put the sources (psd) for the buttons in the first post, you may want to translate them.
I really love this theme. I like how you actually put a massive amount of effort into customizing. This theme has been edited to the point that you can't even recognize the SMF.
Don't take this comment the wrong way though- I am still looking for a theme suitable for my forums. If you understand what I mean ;)

Wow, VERY COOL theme 8), and lots of great features. The tabbed info section at the bottom of the index is great.
Have you considered releasing the theme in different colurs. Personally I would like to see a pale blue version :)
Good work, keep it up. I hope to see more designs from yourself
Very nice as always :)
Will add it to my test board later.

Okay :)
- The little images next to "Moderator" and "Child Boards" in the Boardindex, look somewhat crappy. It'd look much better if you'd use something like an arrow, a bullet, or any other graphic there. Perhaps you can give the moderators icon a blue colour and the child boards icon a green-ish colour like the rest of the board.
- The statistics center is brilliant. I love it, it looks great. However, every time you click on it, it changes height and messes the screen out of balance. I'd have to say, it would be a lot more practical and look a lot slicker if you'd give that block one standard height and perhaps a scrollbar.
- The text at the top is still Georgia. It would probably look better if you used a font similar to the font used for SMFone.
- In the Display template, the avatar of each post is centered. To be honest, that makes the avatar have way too much importance in the composition. I'd much rather see it to the left or the right, so it doesn't dominate the screen as much.
Other than those little details, I still say... awesome work man!

I'm with Burpee on this one, but the only thing stopping me from using this theme is the fact that I would prefer the avator/etc to be on the left.
This is the best skin I've seen and would love to able to change that avatar format. Is there a quick fix for this?

[-]The idea for them were to look like a tree.
[-]The problem is I can't control the amount of on-line members and recent topics.
[-]I would think so. I'll see if Arial or other fonts will look nicer.
[-]My fist try was putting the Avy on the left, but it made the section wider than I want. Yes I tried to move some elements from the left to the middle, but decided that they were important left as they are now.
I'm really glad you took the time to suggest those.
xentar
I've uploaded a new Display.template.php , to the first post , that will uses the same look as the default one. You can use it to override the one with the theme.
The idea for them were to look like a tree.
I already thought so, however, when there's just the "moderator" icon, it seems like it has been cut off.
Just try my suggestion and see how it looks. I'm personally convinced it'll look cleaner.
The problem is I can't control the amount of on-line members and recent topics.
I know, but would it be possible to use "overflow: auto;"?
I would think so. I'll see if Arial or other fonts will look nicer.

I can understand that, it's naturally off-balance because the profile information and the post content are about the same size. Perhaps a few extra pixels between every post and a little added height to the post content would help? Anyway, even if it doesn't, setting a smaller maximum avatar size will also help.
I also just thought of something I saw on 127.0.0.1's forum a while ago, look at it here (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=15747.msg132863#msg132863).
Very nice theme indeed :)
My only complaint would be the placement of the avatar/user info. Imo it steals too much focus and takes up too much screen realestate.
@AMA
On a side note. Im looking at migrating from phpBB to SMF at present for at least for one board i admin, and my biggest issue with SMF at this point is the lack of a good theme (yes im a picky bastard, ask Douglas. No offence intended to the other great artists and theme designers here)
Your theme is the first one ive seen that has really caught my eyes, unfortunately there are some things i would like to do to make it suit my needs, most notably color changes and adjusting the display of avatar/userinfo in threads.
What is your view on people using your theme as a base for new ones, especially with regards to graphics. Its your work, and you deserve full credit for it, and if you dont want anyone to use it as a base i fully respect that
P.S, one small thing ive noticed is that SMFone will not work well with mambohacks SMF bridge in wrapped mode. Things like the admin and help area cannot be opened unless its set to standalone mode.
Sure .. would love to see variant of this theme, and in case you need any help just say so.
I did not install the mambo bridge, so I cant really now what is causing the problem. But it from your post my best guess is the codes in the menu links. I only deleted the use of buttons and added the icons.

How about the attached images .. and I may need to use the overflow for other parts as well.

I would also love to see this in other colors! Green is very nice, but it wouldnt match my site.
I would love to see light orange or light blue! :)
Awesome work!
I moved the avatar on my site a few days ago as well. The only issue I have is that many users don't use an avatar. For those people, the left area reserved for it is blank leaving the membername/stats indented which looks weird. I guess I could code it to set a colspan of 2 for that first cell in these cases, or maybe a default avatar that would always be selected unless you override it is easier? Any suggestions?

Wonderful .. thanks for making them.
Everything's looking great so far! I think its safe to say everyone here appreciates the time and effort you're putting into this theme and it shows. I can't wait to see further improvements!
There only *one* thing that I'd like to fix, it's not a big deal but it clutters up the error log:
8: Undefined index: calendar_start_day
File: /home/public_html/Themes/SMFone/Calendar.template.php (eval?)
Line: 38
Am I the only one getting that error or is everyone getting it as well? Is this a template issue or SMF issue? Though the calendar seems to be working and I'm not getting any IE script errors.
I've been trying to add Online Users Today to this fabu template and I am stumped. Can anyone help?
xentar
Yes .. it only occurs when a guest is browsing the Calendar. Me bad! guest do not have this option. I'll post a fix for it later. Thnaks for finding this.
NayNay
The info center is no more the same :) I'll post a modified version of the template.
NayNay
Could you try this, in Boardindex.template.php look for:
', $txt[140], ':<br />', implode(', ', $context['list_users_online']);
replace it with:
', $txt[140], ':<br />', implode(', ', $context['list_users_online']),'
<br />
<hr />
', $txt['158bis'], ' ( ', $context['num_users_today'], ' ', $context['num_users_today'] == 1 ? $txt['user'] : $txt['users'], ' )<br />
', $context['user_today'];
Updated
various XHTML corrections, avatars are now shown on the left of the author information, fixed the Calendar.template.php which was causing error messages in the error log, and new templates added.
Thanks for the update A.M.A. :)
I like the new avatar location and what you did with the arrow next to each of the child boards listed on the forum index.
Theme is even better now. ;D
Love this theme, and want to make it my board's default theme. However, I'm not quite sure how to add buttons for the arcade, chat and donation manager mods I've installed.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
akabugeyes
thanks .. I'm glad you like the new changes.

This theme is using icon with text in the menu. So you need to make icons for the buttons you need and upload them to /Themes/SMFone/images/english/, after that you have to edit index.template.php and look for:
// Show the [home] and [help] buttons.
echo '
<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/' . $context['user']['language'] . '/home.gif" alt="' . $txt[103] . '" /><a class="menub" href="', $scripturl, '">' , $txt[103], '</a>', $context['menu_separator'], '
<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/' . $context['user']['language'] . '/help.gif" alt="' . $txt[119] . '" /><a class="menub" href="', $scripturl, '?action=help" target="_blank">' , $txt[119], '</a>', $context['menu_separator'];
replace it with:
// Show the [home] and [help] buttons.
echo '
<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/' . $context['user']['language'] . '/home.gif" alt="' . $txt[103] . '" /><a class="menub" href="', $scripturl, '">' , $txt[103], '</a>', $context['menu_separator'], '
<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/' . $context['user']['language'] . '/help.gif" alt="' . $txt[119] . '" /><a class="menub" href="', $scripturl, '?action=help" target="_blank">' , $txt[119], '</a>', $context['menu_separator'], '
<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/' . $context['user']['language'] . '/myButton.gif" alt="my alt" /><a class="menub" href="my heref">myText</a>', $context['menu_separator'], '
<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/' . $context['user']['language'] . '/myButton.gif" alt="my alt" /><a class="menub" href="my heref">myText</a>', $context['menu_separator'];
Where myButton.gif is the icon you are going to use, my alt is your button alterative text, my heref is your button URL and myText is the button text.

was that made intentionally? :(
Yes .. is it too small!

Yes .. is it too small!
in Display.template.php

change to the size you prefer.
I thought about making it automated. meaning if admin wanted avatar with max width/height limited, this would be applied! otherwise, just put the avatar as it is..
I made this nasty fix:
Display.template.phplook for:
if (!empty($settings['show_user_images']) && empty($options['show_no_avatars']) && !empty($message['member']['avatar']['image']))
echo '
<td valign="top" style="overflow: hidden;" class="smalltext">
<div style="overflow: auto; width: 65px; height: 65px;">, $message['member']['avatar']['image'], '</div>
</td>';
replace:
if (!empty($settings['show_user_images']) && empty($options['show_no_avatars']) && !empty($message['member']['avatar']['image'])) {
echo '
<td valign="top" style="overflow: hidden;" class="smalltext">';
if (!empty($modSettings['avatar_max_width_external']) && !empty($modSettings['avatar_max_height_external']))
echo '
<div style="overflow: auto; width:', $modSettings['avatar_max_width_external'], 'px; height:', $modSettings['avatar_max_height_external'],'px;">', $message['member']['avatar']['image'], '</div>';
else
echo '<div>', $message['member']['avatar']['image'], '</div>';
echo'
</td>';
}
edit: spacing is messed up :-\

I love the theme. Had a bit of hard time trying to get it to work with my Mkportal and SMF but it works kind of! lol
Awesome theme though and great work. Thank you!
:D
Any chance you could make this work with mkportal? I did try and to be honest I am no good at messing with templates anyway and couldn't really get it to look right.
Always ends up too small in the centre of the page.
:-\
I seem to have a strange issue here.
I'll let the picture do the talking:
(http://xentar.com/smf.gif)
Everytime a NEW person loads up the forum, they see the top part. (black words)
The only way to get it the other way around is for them to click on it. Once they do, it stays that way, and all is good.
But I'd like it if they didn't have to click on it to 'fix' it.
Is this a theme related problem or smf?
I even did a fresh install of smf, no mods and immediatly installed smfone, but the problem is still there.
It's ok if you can't help me with this one, but thanks for looking.
Ahh... took me a while, but I found the problem.
Open style.css
Find .cat .cat:link, .cat:visited
Replace with .cat, .cat:link, .cat:visited
The difference? One comma :P
Thanks for the avatar fix! I have the css problem to work on as well but I am almost there. It kinda formats a little bit too in the middle in the portal but it works well enough for me.
:D
Excellent theme, but how can I change the size of the users name?
(http://www.phpsimplicity.com/images/SMFone.png)

You can do anything you want with this, but seeing as you want to change the size you would probably want to replace it with the following:
<span style="font-size: 12pt;">', $message['member']['link'], '</span>

A.M.A. probably wouldn't mind it in the least bit. If you decide to, you could Zip that theme and send it to A.M.A. and he will probably upload it to this thread.

I actually had that problem with opera 7.5 but after upgrading to Opera 8.0 the "problem" went away. I can't tell if its an isolated incident where it only affects certain people or what.
But you can tell that member to upgrade opera to 8.0. It's definitely worth the upgrade. ;)

Whoah! Cool Template!
Hi to all theme experts, A.M.A in perticualar. I am working on a new theme and I was wondering which file needs to be edited to place the "Topics and Posts" info underneath the categories.
If i understood you right, answer is messageindex.template.php.
Order is BoardIndex (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php)-> MessageIndex (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?board=2.0) -> Display (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=34191.0).
Index.template.php gives header and footer for every page.
I get this error on log:
Undefined variable: category
Archivo: /home/obazavil/public_html/hablajapones/foro/Themes/HJ3/MessageIndex.template.php (eval?)
Línea: 31
At that line, i see:
<td colspan="4" class="catbg', $category['new'] ? '2' : '', '" height="18">', $txt['parent_boards'], '</td>

Omar Bazavilvazo - xenovanis
sorry .. that variable should not be there.
in MessageIndex.template.php look for:
<td colspan="4" class="catbg', $category['new'] ? '2' : '', '" height="18">', $txt['parent_boards'], '</td>
replace with
<td colspan="4" class="catbg" height="18">', $txt['parent_boards'], '</td>
Thank you for your quick response A.M.A :). I changed it, if it does return I'll let you know.
Tnx A.M.A! it worked
I also get this:
2: Invalid argument supplied for foreach()
File: /home/obazavil/public_html/hablajapones/foro/Themes/HJ3/Calendar.template.php (eval?)
Line: 219
Many changes have been made for the Calendar.template.php in 1.1, am afraid the current template will not work correctly with 1.1. If you need to surpass that error message, then edit Calendar.template.php and look for
// Show a select box with all the months.
foreach ($months as $number => $month)
replace it with
// Show a select box with all the months.
foreach ($txt['months'] as $number => $month)
Though I suggest deleting the Calendar.template.php form SMFone, until I port this theme to 1.1 :)
Not what I had in mind (or is it that I am too dumb to work it out myself), I was thinking of the moving the box that says "100 posts in 10 topics" underneath the board description
Box is in index.template. What description you mean? Those are in boardindex and messageindex.

I think you mean the Boardindex.template.php.
The information you're talking about is contained in the variables $board['posts'] and $board['topics'] in that file.
Thanks for your help Burpee, and thanks for trying to help me Owdy (I am not very good at explaining things to people!)
I still can't get the piece of crap working.... If I add the slightest thing, I come up with a template parse error! BoardIndex.template is so complex.... I guess I never did learn php properly
You need to move the whole row containing the Topics and Posts, or simply adding them directly under the Board's name!
It would be good for this to be part of the SMFOne thread itself...what if other people have similar questions and something ends up being rehashed that was covered here simply because this was a separate thread?
Topics merged.
Thanks :)
I love this theme ... but I also would rather have a grayscale theme. Any chance we could get an official version rather than having to grayscale all the images, etc. ?
I'll be working on getting this integrated with my site ... it might take some tweaking, but I think it will be worth it ;)

It is weird. My forum is wrapped. I have tried looking though some of the code and havnt had any luck... still looking for ideas.
Well, I don't think this is a theme related thing, I just tried my forum wrapped and the avatars show as well. Which version of the bridge are you using? Does this also happen when you use the SMF default theme? If so, I think you'd better open a new topic in the Mambo Bridge (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?board=77.0) Board.

A.M.A, will a gray theme be introduced shortly then? Just wondered b/c I would also like to see the gray theme as part of the options offered, too. I also think it would be great in the future to package all the colors together and have a color selector (if that would be possible). I realize most of the less graphic based themes have that instead like Simplicity or Sitra, so it may well not be an option to have a color selector package version instead.
Thanks for a great theme. :)

This is one of the best themes,for those who like light colours! Dark backgrounds can have a certain "stylish look" and a certain appeal ,but on websites having a heavy informational character and looooong passages they can be tiring to the eyes.SMFone is one theme that will not cause that problem....
Now,if only i could find a Mambo template i could intergrate it into since im using Ostrios Mambo-SMF bridge...

You can replace the default logo with your logo by following these directions. Change the logo by changing the "Use your own logo" field.
Admin > Current Theme's SettingsAnd here's how to remove the text at the top.
Find and Remove in index.template.php:
<span style="font-family: Georgia, sans-serif; font-size: xx-large;">', $context['forum_name'], '</span>
As always, backup this file before modifying its contents.

Sorry about that. You must have the updated version of SMFOne; I have the first version released.
Yes, delete the code:
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16pt; font-weight: bold;">', $context['forum_name'], '</span>
As far as the logo being displayed over the Info. Box, I've received reports of that occurring on my forums as well, but only with Firefox. I use Opera and the logo has a padding equal on all sides. I'll bet A.M.A has a fix for that though ;).
-Dan The Man
Thanks for clarifying - I'll wait for AMA.
Otherwise I guess I could make the forum font size small so it's not intrusive
If you deleted the whole thing divs will overlap. It is better to use a non-breaking space i.e. replace this:
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16pt; font-weight: bold;">', $context['forum_name'], '</span>
with:
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16pt; font-weight: bold;"> </span>

Anytime A.M.A , its really good that people develop those skins in their free time,the least one can do is tell the creator they like his/her theme. This gratification can overpass any other!
Now, some questions since im reaaaaallly reaaaaaallly new at this :
1)Im Greek :D . I have downloaded the greek smf language files and when i switch to this language buttons dont come up but instead twice the name of each button (for example instead of the Home button something along the lines of Home Home appears). How can i fix that?Which files should be tampered whith and where are they located? You can even point me roughly at them!
2)Something tells me i might need to make my greek buttons to solve 1. Ummm...yeah,do i have to start from scratch using a drawing/desing program? If i do indeed succeed ,can i give it to you so you could upload it to save the hassle of other Greeks?
3)On the same note : i might as well try to sharpen those buttons a bit because sometimes i get the feeling they look a bit faded,dont know if its my idea or if there is a reason for that...
Thanks again for this nice skin,without people working on making new skins many newbies would suffer!

Hi. LOVE your smfONE_grey theme, will be using it on my forum. one question thou. what changes do I need to make in theme.css to change the grey background of the forum. Here's the Picture to explain what I mean, follow the arrows: http://d3v.clanhq.net/img/smfone.png Thanks for your time
Thanks
in style.css
#headerarea
{
background-color: #E2E2E2;
}
Note that not all images are transparent and they are anti aliased against the gray shade.
Yea I noticed :X Playing with the .css file for 2nd hour now trying to make this theme to be completely on white background. Since I asked one question, why not ask another. I'm modifying the index.template.php and boardindex.template.php files to make the forum to be more light. I got the smfone logo removed succesfully,was able to change the font to smaller size, removed help/faq/register buttons (mambo integration, no reg. needed), removed part of info center on the bottom and replaced a lot of the icons with smaller ones.
The question that I have is regarding the USER INFO box that appears on top. Each template has a slightly different code in index.template.php file for it's removal and I was wondering if someone could paste the proper code for SMFOne theme to remove it. So far all I get is template parsing error even after playing with brackets, echo' and trying to comment it out. Thanks for your reply, and once again thanks for the theme.
index.template.php .. find and remove:

A.M.A, this question might have been asked, search couldn't find.
Does your theme work with SMF 1.1 beta x.
It does. Will have minor tweaks, but runs great
I have it running here: http://hablajapones.org
You just need to delete calendar.template.php, and if you need thumbnails preview, you need to fix by hand that on Display.template.php
...
Or wait until the "official" beta 2 release is out :)
as Omar said am only aware of the calendar bug and it can be fixed by deleting the calendar .template.php .. am planning on porting all my themes to 1.1 when it is released.
Hello,
Very nice theme! I've incorporated it into a small family site I've set up that also uses MKPortal 1.0.
Question, I've set MkPortal to use the forum theme. It picks up the colors just fine but the rounded graphics of the theme aren't displayed in the portal. I was wondering if there was a way to have MKPortal blocks and such to pick up the nice graphics of your theme. The site I've set this up at is www.looeyville.com if it would help.
Thanks,
Scott
You have to edit mk's theme to use those rounded corner. Sorry I have no experience on doing that.
Button creator? I have said many times your themes are really awesome and they are! But I am as about as graphically challenged as they come and I wondered if you ever had plans to create a button creator like webby did? I probably like many others have mods like the arcade mod, member map mod etc and I have no idea about creating the buttons I would need to make these work.
Also, do you have plans to make them compatible with bloc's portal? Thanks.
:)

If you deleted the whole thing divs will overlap. It is better to use a non-breaking space i.e. replace this:
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16pt; font-weight: bold;">', $context['forum_name'], '</span>
with:
<span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 16pt; font-weight: bold;"> </span>

Will try after Bloc finishes TP.

this is a slightly modified version of SMFOne.

Looking nice with the board icons.
I am running Bloc's TP on my live forum now so I guess I can wait. A games button with your theme would be awesome as many people are now using the arcade mod.
Thanks for the reply.
Just wanted to take this opportunity to ask couple more css settings for theme.css. The image is included and the layout is numbered.
(http://d3v.clanhq.net/img/smfone.gif)
1,5 - color setting
2,3,4 - color settings
6 - font style/size setting
7 - font style/size setting
I assume that that numbers which I have grouped are the same setting. If I'm wrong, please correct me. Thanks for your time and support.

attached .. the first one should used like this:
<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/' . $context['user']['language'] . '/games.gif" alt="Games" /><a class="menub" href="', $scripturl, '">Games</a>
in index.template.php in the template_menu() , and it should go to the images/english folder.

1,2,3,4,5 are images .. look for re_top_x.gif in images folder.
6 in style.css /* Normal, standard links. */ and /* By default (td, body..) use Tahoma in black. */
7 in style.css /* By default (td, body..) use Tahoma in black. */
thanks for the images and the notes about changing the theme to do what I need. Very much appreciated.
Thanks a lot for your support A.M.A. I'm almost done tweaking up my skin to the way that it would fit my site. However still one thing I can't get to go away even after going through all 6 re-top.gif files. Wondering if maybe you can point out which file exactly is used in the image attached: Thanks a lot once again. Your theme is really a new step for SMF forum (yes, i actually mean it) :
(http://d3v.clanhq.net/img/smfgrey.jpg)
in index.template.php :
<td width="100%" colspan="5" style="background-color: #FAFAFA;">
Was going to be looking for a long time for that. Thanks.
This post is about the avatar scroll bar. It took me a day to figure this out, so hopefully it'll help someone else faster. :)
===================================================
I like the way A.M.A. set up the profile box (username/group/karma etc.)
It's on top of the posts, as opposed to the side.
But, whatever you set your avatar size to (in admin options) you'll notice that a scroll bar kicks in.
(Depending on the Admin size limit of avatars it'll show up on the length or width.)
If you want the avatars to fit in the profile box without scrolling, do this:
Open the file:
Display.template.phpFind (in red):
Quote// Show avatars, images, etc.?
if (!empty($settings['show_user_images']) && empty($options['show_no_avatars']) && !empty($message['member']['avatar']['image']))
echo '
<td valign="top" style="overflow: hidden;" class="smalltext">
<div style="overflow: auto; width: 65px; height: 65px;">', $message['member']['avatar']['image'], '</div>
</td>';
Replace with (in red):
Quote// Show avatars, images, etc.?
if (!empty($settings['show_user_images']) && empty($options['show_no_avatars']) && !empty($message['member']['avatar']['image']))
echo '
<td valign="top" style="overflow: hidden;" class="smalltext">
<div style="width: 100%; height: 100%;">', $message['member']['avatar']['image'], '</div>
</td>';
We did deleted this value: overflow: auto;
We edited this value:
Before= width: 65px; height: 65px
After= width: 100%; height: 100%
Now the avatar will show up without scroll bars. :D
Make sure you set your avatar size limit in Admin controls. And you're set .
*cough (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=33352.msg252919#msg252919)*
Always read the entire thread ;).
I think you learned a lot about the way the forum is built by fixing it yourself though.
lol! >:(
I used search and I never came across that page. But as you said, I did learn a little more by tweaking by myself. At the very least, mine is different in the sense I use % instead of pixel :P.
Thanks for the link.
How about buttons for;
Chat
Gallery
Location Map (Members Map)
Or just "Map" for that matter since that is way shorter :)
How do I fix the alignment issues with the "Latest Post" column in the older version of SMFOne?
EDIT: Also, can you please make me a small 16x16 px. Chat icon (for the top navigation bar) and give me the code I need to insert it? Thank you.

SMF: 1.0.3
Template: SMFOne_Grey
Site: www.catchmydr1ft.com/smf
I'm trying to change the background of the forums's header (which includes/home/register/search/etc buttons), yet come up short. I tried to remove files by hand from index.template yet that doesnt give the result that I needed. Then I tried editing re_top_4.gif in photoshop/psuite and gimp, yet same thing happens. Please take a look at the attachment:
(http://www.d3v.clanhq.net/img/clp2.jpg)
I'm reffering to small shade of grey on the bottom of the bar. It just sits there abd bugs me because my site's background is completely white. Any idea on why I can't seem to remove it? Thank you
P.S. I would appreciate help from anyone on this, I think we bugged AMA enough regarding this theme.
That entire bar consists of different images, named re_top_1.gif through re_top_6.gif. You'll need to edit more than one, most likely.
you know what. I went through all of em. for some reason i can't fix that grey shadow on the bottom. even if I zoom in my editor and erase it, it stays. can the image be somehow protected? or maybe that shadow is not part of the image, bur rather a css setting? please explain to me if you know

Hi all. I've seen this very nice site http://hablajapones.org/ , and what impressed me, apart from the java scrolling newsticker (i want it! How to do that? :P), is the fact that who made it added a new tab at the bottom. What i would do is exactly modify the forum like that, adding some new tabs like "last posts" and, maybe, "users in chat".
Did someone follow this path? I could not find any discussion regarding this!
Thank you
So you actually mean at http://hablajapones.org/foro/index.php for the forum portion :)
That is included with the theme, you simply have to enable it. If you are using SMF 1.0.3, click on Admin link to go into the Admin area after you've signed in, then click on "Current Theme's Settings" under Forum Configuration on the left hand pane. Next to "Number of Recent Topics to show:" option, put a number greater than 0 in the field, then click Save.
As for the news scrolling, that is likely the news fader option. This is also in the Admin area in this same "Current Theme's Settings" section. Look for "Show news fader on board index" and check it.
AMA if you have time will you check on this problem posted here?
http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=37013.0
it seems to only happen in SMFOne.

Oh yeah, i know about this ;D The difference is the way the top right scroller behaves! In Ama's theme it simply changes to the next news, but in the site i posted you it scrolls nicely!

Hi ama, sorry for bothering you again ;D
Where should i put my hands to add some code into the bottom tabs? I really can't find them in the index.template...supposing this is the right file to check out! :D

Great theme, it has a nice and clean feel which is what I like. :)
I think it would look even better with a darker green option. Just a suggestion, I know you probably get lots of color requests and can't please everybody. : )
Dear,
When I look at my error log, I see thousand of errors. All the same tho.
8: Undefined index: showhidenoavy
Bestand: domain.com/board/Themes/SMFone/Display.template.php (eval?)
Regel: 265
and same error with line 270
When I open display.template in an editor I see
line 265 if ($settings['showhidenoavy'] == 1)
echo '

<div style="width: 65px; height: 65px;"></div>
</td>';
line 270 elseif ($settings['showhidenoavy'] == 2)
Any idea what is wrong here? Should I change the values, can I simply delete it?
I use SMFONE lime-green version, dutch language.
I tried searching for the error here, but the solution was not clear for me. If you know the solution, can you say what to change where?
Thanks a lot

" that space is a result of either your mambo template or your SMF theme...
(looks like the SMF theme)
So, modify smf/themes/yourtheme/index.template.php
it'll probably be in the section labeled "template_main_above""
I played around with template_main_above, yet it gave nothing
P.S. Apparently the extra space on the right exists only in FireFox. I guess this is a non-issue then

Notes
AWESOME keep up the great work wow I am impressed

Sorry for the delay ..

You have to manually edit some templates to make the Mod works. Please look at How to make mods work with themes? (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=34526.0) for more info .. image attached.

You have to edit BoardIndex.template.php look for:
<div id="tablist">
<ul>
add something like this:
<li><a href="#" onclick="return expandcontent(\'sc5\', this)">new tab</a></li>
then after:
// End Info Center
echo '
add you new tab .. like this:
<div id="sc5" class="tabcontent">

sorry .. I do not have any experience with it.
Hi. Great theme! I'm about to convert my 3rd forum to SMF, but I have a question about this theme first.
I put it on one of my other SMF forums to see it in 100% real action, and I noticed the avatar box is a little small and has scrollers.
Wondering how I could make this bigger.
(http://www.tntpowerhost.com/mixx941/smfone.jpg)
Thanks! Keep up the awesome work.

try this one:
http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=33352.msg253150#msg253150
or this:
http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=33352.msg253605#msg253605
Thanks for the response. The first one looked like a simple fix, but the code to find isn't in Display.template.php.
I looked through other pages of this thread and found: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=33352.msg252947#msg252947
That seemed to work, but I couldnt put 100% for the height/width, that just made it not show at all. I guess I can set it for the max avatar size and it works, but I think it would be more functional to have it 100% and let the SMF settings determine that.
Excellent theme nonetheless :D
-Mark
Hmm, any idea what the code that I posted does? I mean can I simply delete that part or?
That code determines what to do in case a user doesn't have an avatar .. the only cause of error that I can think of is a missing Settings.template.php from the theme.
Anyhow you can look for and delete from Display.template.php:
// if there is no avatars ..
if (!empty($settings['show_user_images']) && empty($options['show_no_avatars']) && empty($message['member']['avatar']['image']))
{
if ($settings['showhidenoavy'] == 1)
echo '
<td valign="top" style="overflow: hidden;" class="smalltext">
<div style="width: 65px; height: 65px;"></div>
</td>';
elseif ($settings['showhidenoavy'] == 2)
echo '
<td valign="top" style="overflow: hidden;" class="smalltext">
<img src="', $settings['images_url'], '/re_avatar.gif" alt="No avatar!" />
</td>';
}

It has nothing to do with HTML resizing or GD Module resizing. It's because it's set to overflow after a certain amount of pixels.

Andre
As promised, to get rid of the thousands of errors with the SMFone theme(dutch language) I had to remove(as AMA said) the following code.
// if there is no avatars ..
if (!empty($settings['show_user_images']) && empty($options['show_no_avatars']) && empty($message['member']['avatar']['image']))
{
if ($settings['showhidenoavy'] == 1)

</td>';
}
Thanks!
this theme is the best!!!! If there was a smiley doing the we're not worthy thing... It would be inserted... LOVE IT!!!
Question: Implementing the rating thread with this theme; has it been done?
Hello A.M.A.,
I am using your BlueSKY theme and I simply LOVE IT. Thank you for your hard work and for sharing!
I have a question... If I could change one thing it would be the buttons at the bottom of the index page. If I wanted to do away with those buttons and display the "Forum Stats" and "Users Online" boxes at the same time, how would I go about doing that?
Thank you.
Gear.
Thanks for your comment.

It looks to me like the images that are meant to span across the board are missing, as you said. I even tried to manually go to http://www.boycottg4.com/bbs/Themes/SMFone/images/re_b_top2.gif to see if that loaded (that's one of the missing images).
I will download the latest SMFone package and see if these images are included.
-Dan The Man
I've just double checked and all images are included in the archive. I recommend that you uninstall this theme through Admin > Theme and Layout Settings. After going that, go into your FTP and delete the entire SMFone folder under the Themes directroy. Then, go back and try installing the theme again.
-Dan The Man
I tried that before, I'll do it again right now though. What do you recommend I upload as: Ascii, binary or auto?

auto will be fine on most FTP programmes they will know .gif .exe etc. But why are you using the upload method! Have you tried to install the theme from the Administration Center instead.
If the folder that you used contains space it may cause that problem i.e. do not use: SMF One but use: SMF_One .

Hello A.M.A.,
I don't think you understand. What I want to do is get rid of those two buttons all together and allow the information contained in Forum Stats and Users Online to be displayed at the same time, one box over the other, without having to click on a button. Just like it is in the default theme.
I'm certain the required changes need to be done in BoardIndex.template.php but everytime I attempt to comment things out of the code, IE starts reporting errors in the code.
Worked like a charm!! Thanks!

Oh, I see .. to do that you have to copy from the original default BoardIndex.template.php starting from:

till the end , and replace it with the SMFone BoardIndex.template.php in the same manner from // Here's to the end.
Hello A.M.A.,
I did as you suggested and as before, IE reports the following error:
Line: 47
Char: 1
Error: 'null' is null or not an object
Code: 0
URL: www.blahblah.com/SMF/index.php
Line 47 in my index.php is:
if (!isset($sourcedir))
How do I correct this?
Thanks!
Please try to use the attached file.
QuoteLine 47 in my index.php is:
if (!isset($sourcedir))
a note:
IE or any other browser does NOT see your PHP code! so when it says line 47 it means the 47th line in the HTML output that you can see when you "View Source" of the file ;)
A.M.A.
I tried that file. No change.
Saleh
Right you are. I checked the 47th line of the html and it made no difference.
I am still at a loss. Although IE reports the error is in index.php, we know the problem isn't in that file. I am now suspecting there is something in my index.template.php giving the error.
The error doesn't seem to effect the functionality of the forums or theme, there's just an annoying error notification in the browser's status bar.
That file is already modified to your needs, please copy it over the one that came with SMFone.
Isn't that a javascript error?

I'm on a quest to really clean up my Forum's view. First of all, A.M.A. I really appreciate your help and your replies to my continious questions. If you have a banner for your site or a link to your page I'd happily put it on my 200+ visitors/day page, SMF banner will be there for sure.

I'm not a modder, so no guarantees, but I took a look at the source code from your index page. The closest thing to line 47 that I think might cause trouble is the Javascript for the upshrink header. Since you don't have that functionality on that layout, that might be where the "null" is coming from. I would recommend taking that out and see if you still get the error. Of course, make a backup in case I'm completely off track.

It did not show any error on my IE (6.xpsp2).
First off, thanks to all of you who tried to help me.
I located the problem and it is now fixed. I had to remove the following line from my BoardIndex.template.php file:
<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript" src="', $settings['images_url'], '/tabs.js"></script>
Thanks again to you all!
Revised Changes applied:
STILL THERE:
1. Breadcrumbs on the bottom of the posts
3. Thread Header
REMOVED: Jump To Menu on the bottom of the posts
Seems like the code removals are not covering every aspect of the modules that I'm attempting to get removed. Anyways here is the updated version of Display.template.php if you wish to look at it:

It's been mentioned here (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=33352.msg252919#msg252919), here (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=33352.msg275177#msg275177) and here (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=33352.msg269313#msg269313). I wouldn't be surprised if it has been mentioned in other places as well.

As Burpee said, you need to modify the following images to remove that line:
re_top_4.gif , re_top_4.gif and re_top_6.gif
These are great images... however, they do not match the images supplied with the theme. Anyway they can max?? These are larger (16X16) verses the images with the theme (16X13). As well has not being "greyed out" These images are bold and three deminisional, while the ones with the theme are almost "greyed out" and two deminisional. Can we fix? I need images for forum and downloads, however I was going to use these images. Any help would be great!

Glad you got it working.

Have you applied all the changes i.e. the first and second one.
Thanks Burpee for the help.

Hope you like the attached ones.
Yeah I did A.M.A. There's a link included with the modified version display.template.php so u can see what's left if you interested. I'm going to triple check it again right now, but it was a clean cut job as far as I remember.
I do not recommend removing the header as it holds useful information, but if you still need to, then in Display.template.php look for and remove:
<tr>
<td width="100%" height="25" class="titlebg">
<div>
<div class="smalltext" style="float: right;">« <b>', !empty($message['counter']) ? $txt[146] . ' #' . $message['counter'] : '', ' ', $txt[30], ':</b> ', $message['time'], ' »</div>
<a href="', $message['href'], '"><img src="', $settings['images_url'], '/post/' . $message['icon'] . '.gif" alt="" border="0" /></a> <b><a href="', $message['href'], '">', $message['subject'], '</a></b>
</div>
</td>
</tr>
The bottom part, look for:
if ($settings['linktree_inline'])
echo '
<td valign="top" align="left">', theme_linktree(), '</td> ';
echo '
<td valign="top" align="right" class="smalltext"> <span class="nav"> ', $context['previous_next'], '</span></td>
and only delete ', theme_linktree(), ' and <span class="nav"> ', $context['previous_next'], '</span> from it.
You are right, I'm going to keep the header. Didn't think when I made that post. The bottom breadcrumbs is what's still there. This portion of the code that you pasted before failed for me:
$buttonArray = array();
if ($context['can_reply'])
$buttonArray[] = '<a href="' . $scripturl . '?action=post;topic=' . $context['current_topic'] . '.' . $context['start'] . ';num_replies=' . $context['num_replies'] . '">' . ($settings['use_image_buttons'] ? '<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/' . $context['user']['language'] . '/reply.gif" alt="' . $txt[146] . '" border="0" />' : $txt[146]) . '</a>';
if ($context['can_mark_notify'])
$buttonArray[] = '<a href="' . $scripturl . '?action=notify;sa=' . ($context['is_marked_notify'] ? 'off' : 'on') . ';topic=' . $context['current_topic'] . '.' . $context['start'] . ';sesc=' . $context['session_id'] . '" onclick="return confirm(\'' . ($context['is_marked_notify'] ? $txt['notification_disable_topic'] : $txt['notification_enable_topic']) . '\');">' . ($settings['use_image_buttons'] ? '<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/' . $context['user']['language'] . '/notify.gif" alt="' . $txt[131] . '" border="0" />' : $txt[131]) . '</a>';
// Another special case, similar to above but reversed. Show "add poll" unless they can't - then show unread here too.
if ($context['can_add_poll'])
$buttonArray[] = '<a href="' . $scripturl . '?action=post;poll;msg=' . $context['topic_first_message'] . ';topic=' . $context['current_topic'] . '.' . $context['start'] . ';sesc=' . $context['session_id'] . '">' . ($settings['use_image_buttons'] ? '<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/' . $context['user']['language'] . '/addpoll.gif" alt="' . $txt['add_poll'] . '" border="0" />' : $txt['add_poll']) . '</a>';
elseif ($context['user']['is_logged'] && $settings['show_mark_read'])
$buttonArray[] = '<a href="' . $scripturl . '?action=markasread;sa=topic;topic=' . $context['current_topic'] . '.' . $context['start'] . '">' . ($settings['use_image_buttons'] ? '<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/' . $context['user']['language'] . '/markunread.gif" alt="' . $txt['mark_unread'] . '" border="0" />' : $txt['mark_unread']) . '</a>';
if ($context['can_send_topic'])
$buttonArray[] = '<a href="' . $scripturl . '?action=sendtopic;topic=' . $context['current_topic'] . '.0">' . ($settings['use_image_buttons'] ? '<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/' . $context['user']['language'] . '/sendtopic.gif" alt="' . $txt[707] . '" border="0" />' : $txt[707]) . '</a>';
$buttonArray[] = '<a href="' . $scripturl . '?action=printpage;topic=' . $context['current_topic'] . '.0" target="_blank">' . ($settings['use_image_buttons'] ? '<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/' . $context['user']['language'] . '/print.gif" alt="' . $txt[465] . '" border="0" />' : $txt[465]) . '</a>';
echo implode($context['menu_separator'], $buttonArray);
echo '
</td>
</tr>
</table>
</td>
</tr>
</table>
</div>
When I removed that I got a parsing error. Going to go through it right now to see if I can remove line by line
P.S.
if ($settings['linktree_inline'])
echo '
<td valign="top" align="left">', theme_linktree(), '</td> ';
echo '
<td valign="top" align="right" class="smalltext"> <span class="nav"> ', $context['previous_next'], '</span></td>
That's done.
EDIT: Actually this is what happened. I have normal top breadcrumbs on top of every page, except for message pages where I now have bottom breadcrumbs only. Seems that we removed those instead.
My Goal is to have standard top breadcrumbs on every page, and not to have them on the bottom. I think I can probably do this on my own by comparing code to original template. Thanks once again for your help A.M.A. as I have mentioned I put your name on my Credit page since you answered 10+ of my posts.
Absolutely the best! Thanks!!!
Maybe it's not that easy. I went through all 5 files that had reference to theme_linktree and changed the setting from "bottom" to "top" where I could. still on my post pages breadcrumbs show up on the bottom only and not on top section. All my files are heavily customized so it's a bit too late to re-upload freshies. Can you please tell me which file and which setting ( if it's not theme_linktree ) is responsible for showing breadcrumbs. They are fine on every other pages, but post page: Screenie attached:

Thank you for your help another thing the green theme is not available any more???
And the forum name some times appears and some times not, i have to hilade it and then it appears...
THank you
The green theme is the default theme, named "SMFone_theme".
What on earth does hilade mean? :P
A mean hightlight in the top left corner the name should appear but some times it does and some times not, if it doen't appear if you hightlight that section it will appear...

Thank you for your help and how do i take off my logo in the top right corner?
thanks
it seems to not be compatible with Bloc's Tinyportal mod. :( oh well.
is there a TP converted version of this?
I really like this theme, only problem is how the posts are set up. I want them to be like these boards w/ the member info., avatar, etc. all to the left and the message to the right. Anyway of getting it like that?
I'd like to note, I have very lil' experience w/ php scripting. As far as going into it and reading it and replacing it w/ other codes. Its confusing to my eyes....lol. But I'm willing to try w/ some good instructions?

5. See attached files for badges and a Display.template.php which you can copy it over the original one to get same look as the default one.[/size]
Thank you Noex...that made that simple....Question, what are badges? Also is there anything to make the messageindex template and boardindex...set up like the regular boards?....
This theme is looking great! I only like to have the double-rowed topic listing changed to one row per topic.
How can I change that in the code?

Remove MessageIndex.template.php and it will give you the default (one row per topic) view.

The code I've posted should remove the theme link tree from the bottom when I tested it.

hello A.M.A,
thanks for this wonderful template!
I modified Display.template.php a little so that it shows the user info (avatar, title and stuff) on the left and not on the top of a posting, just like here. This increases readability because the text of a post does no more occupy the whole width ot the site.

Love this theme!!
I have a small issue though and being a total code noob, I am not sure how to rectify it. On my site the User Info box looks perfect but the News box next to it is way small. I'd like to make them about the same size, but I am not really sure where to begin or what settings to change. If anyone could point me to the appropriate file and correct section of code I would be most grateful.
Thanks.

I see what you mean, its centered instead of left-aligned. Did you change anything in the theme?
I am sure it wasn't like that in the original version (though AMA would know better about this of course)
I luv this template, I was just curious...does anyone know how to code a banner fit across the top of the boards? I've tried to center it, no go. It either moves it to the left or the right. I really don't want to put my site name at the top because I want the banner to fit at the top...if that makes sense. Thanks.
AMA, I bow in your greatness, truly epic work here!
I have an error though..well more of a problem really...Ok well in the admin section when I goto change server settings etc, etc,. I try to expand the other settings (eg., Karma, Attachments) but when I click the button it does absolutely nothing. Just nothing. I click the expand all and it doesnt do anything either...It's causing me all sorts of grief, I have to go back to default theme just to edit settings :(
in 1.1 or 1.0
i am also using smf1 as default theme on 1.0 and its works fine on 1.1 i feel it works but too slow no rss........many drawbacks....
This is a really great theme. Is there any way to fix the display of avatars? Sometimes, the avatars are cut off and scroll bars are on the sides.

Another couple of comments. The navigation buttons are quite small, one of my co-admins testing the theme with me complained that they were small and difficult to read. Also, there's not enough of a visual difference between the new posts/no new posts icons.
Hope this feedback will be of help to you.

Hi, the french button for this theme are available here :
http://solomoxen.com/SMFOne-button-FR.rar
:D
Is the news box hardcoded?
In current theme settings, I have disabled the news, but the news box is still there:
http://www.4gm.nl/website/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=65
How do I get this newsbox away and maybe the user info stretched across the screen?
Looks very nice indeed. A few things:
* It works quite well in 1.1 Beta 3
* On the moderation panel, it would be helpful if it said it was going to unsticky or sticky the thread and similar for the other icons. But that might be a SMF thing (i haven't used it much)
* Some of the icons are named wrong.
/images/topic/my_normal_post_locked_stick.gif should be my_normal_post_locked_sticky.gif and there are possible more such errors.
the best skini ever seen!
Fantastic!!
I will make it the default theme ;)

SMFOne is not yet compatible with SMF 1.1 Beta 3 Public.

Anyone got the .psd for the buttons lying around? Seems like A.M.A's website is down at the moment :(
The file is called SMFone_buttons.zip
Have some time in my hands and would like to translate 'em to finnish :-)
Added it to the first post as an attachment :)
Very nice design ;)
But how to display well from the beginning the days opposite the date in the calendar?
(sorry for my english, I explain with a sample)
(http://www.alnabri.net/smf-stuff/SMFone_cl.gif)
Could better we have :
Friday
1
Saturday
2
Sunday
3
Week 15
Monday
4
And so on till the last day, the 28, 29, 30 or 31... ;)
This is an amazing theme, and you deserve a lot of props for it! Great work!
I'm using this with a Mambo bridge (from mambohacks.com) - and I'm trying to use SEF-url's (search engine friendly)
This works fine with Classic or default SMF themes, but not with this theme. When using SMFone Blue, this is how the url ends up like:
/Itemid,102/expv,0/action=profile
The equals = symbol at the end there should have been a comma, and if I manually switch it, I'm taken to the correct page.
This happens only for the template_menu(), e.g. the "home, help, search, profile etc"
Is this just a matter of some coding in SMFone template? Maybe it can even be copied from one of the other themes?
Please give some feedback, as I would very much like to use this theme, thank you!
Very nice theme! But is there french button?! Can be useful for guys like me! ;)
Hi, I just started using smf a few days ago. I moved my site to a new server and it was available, previously I was using and old version of Discus. I also installed your beautiful theme. I'm changing some of the colors in the rest of my site to be more coordinated with it. I hope that's ok. I love the style and curved corners. The green is perfect for my aquarium web pages. :) I just thought I should say something, that you might want to know who was using it. Thank you so much.
How can i add a "Top Bar" something like html for google adsense? thanks
really good job. i'm lovin it :D

Bug or feature? ;D
You're using the 1.1 Beta. That's a known problem with the calendar template in 1.1 Beta, you'll need to delete "Calendar.template.php" from your SMFOne theme directory to get a working calendar again.

OK Thanks. The default calendar is working ;)

Thanks.
It is but some issues were reported ;)
A lot of activity in this thread, but I still feel overlooked :'(
Original problem posted here: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=33352.msg324476#msg324476
Can anyone help me with some pointers, so I can fix it myself?
Can I perhaps copy the default theme menulinks, and paste over this theme's?
I think you could probably post that in the mambo bridge (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?board=77.0) board better.

Check your imagesdirectory in Admin -> Current Themes. This couldn't be a compatibily problem, as this theme was made for 1.0.5.

Hi AMA, can you please post the GREEN SMFOne? I cannot find the GREEN theme. Thanks
THANKS A LOT...
I have installed the gmail mod on my board. The problem I'm having is getting the gmail icon over where the others are on the SMFone theme. You can see it here www.fultonraiders.com Also the personal text I would like it under the Avatar instead of next to it if possible. Thanks I really like the theme and will continue to use it even if I can't change these things.
Awesome template! I luv it. How do I go about changing the avatar size (65x65) to allow something a bit bigger without the avatar getting the scrollbars?
Never mind... I found it.

BTW... How cn I extend the menu on this theme so it doesn't look like like following but in a nice strait line?
(http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b128/chwebby/forummenu.gif)
In higher resolution there will be more space and in 800x600 you visitors will not notice that cause the Admin button will not be there .. anyhow look in index.template.php look for:
<td width="10%" style="background-image: url(', $settings['images_url'], '/re_top_6.gif);"></td>
<td width="0%"><img src="', $settings['images_url'], '/re_top_5.gif" alt="" /></td>
<td width="60%" style="background-image: url(', $settings['images_url'], '/re_top_4.gif);" align="left">';
and change the percentage of 10% to 1% and 60% to 69% and hopefully this will allow for more space.
Awesome thanx! It works like a charm.
@A.M.A:
Thanks, I hope you will keep up the good work ;)
Is there anything in 1.1 rc1 that will break this theme or should it still be ok? I would like to upgrade (am on 1.1 b3p), but am willing to wait on the theme if necessary.
Theme seems to work just as it did in beta3/4 here.
There are some things not working in 1.1 beta4/rc1 however, but nothing affecting the useability of the forums. Only lacks ive found have been Admin function related.
Will these be released for 1.1 RC1?
I like to SMFOne_Blue, but with the update for 1.1 some functions doesn't work.

Well, I would love some info from A.M.A. too... ::) :'(
Does anyone knows anything abt what is going on with this theme?
Anyone willing to help those users who want to use it with RC1?
Guys, it's kind of useless to post this entire thread full of posts with the same message. I'm quite sure that A.M.A will convert the theme when he's got the time, but as you can see in his profile (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?action=profile;u=43) he's not that active right now, thus I think we should just be patient. ;)
Aaron.
U r right Aaron but sometimes u know, I'm kind of concerning abt AMA, hope he's OK and he is just very busy
I think it would probably be a little faster if whoever wants this theme for RC1 decides to modify A.M.A.'s theme to work under RC1 himself.
I changed my highly modified version of this theme to work properly under Beta 3 a while back, using Beyond Compare (http://www.scootersoftware.com/). Just compare the old version of the SMF default theme (with which this theme still worked) with the current version of SMF and then change everything you see is changed in the SMFone files.
There's one template you won't be able to get to work, and that's the calendar. The rest shouldn't be too much of a problem.
If its needed that much, I can create a mod package that can automatically upgrade this theme to 1.1 RC1...
it'll be greatly appreciated by me.. :)
Allright then I will make the converter to convert the 1.0.5 to 1.1 RC1 then, might make it ready by the end of tonight. I am not sure I will be able to keep the Calendar's style though...
Great! :D But then, why make a mod when you can also distribute a file with the entire theme? Would be much easier IMO.
I would love to see this one updated too! If someone could get this to work fully with 1.1rc I would be really happy.
;)

Well guys, at last I have completed the mod, this mod will update SMFOne so that it is 1.1 RC1 compatible, but bear in mind that this mod erases the special Calendar system that SMFOne uses so use this mod at your own risk:
SMFOne Updater (http://turkish.doom9.org/smftheme/files/core/smfoneupd.tar.gz)
SMFOne_blue Updater (http://turkish.doom9.org/smftheme/files/core/smfoneupdblue.tar.gz)
SMFOne_gray Updater (http://turkish.doom9.org/smftheme/files/core/smfoneupdgray.tar.gz)
SMFOne_red Updater (http://turkish.doom9.org/smftheme/files/core/smfoneupdred.tar.gz)
Also if you want to use the regular topic display, navigate to your theme folder and delete the Display.template.php file after applying the mod ;)
The mod's won't work
Only allows file extensions blah blah blah.
What do you mean :-\ Can you be more clear? As far as I have tested them they work perfectly...
The package manager currently allows only these file types: zip, tgz, tar.gz.
The files are in tar.gz format already...
My host seems to not allow them & when i tried in winzip,head entry problems.
Weird, they work on my server and at my local Apache :)

fantastic idea ... should be noted tho that the mod file does not CHANGE the current files ... it replaces them with updated ones. So any tweaks the user might have made to the original theme will be lost and need to be redone.

No problem, at first I was making one which would update the files but later on I decided to make a solution like this as the xml file was having problems updating the javascript related parts ;)
Thanks for the update forsakenlad!
However, do you know any reason why viewing IPs in the Who's Online tool returns 'unable to load the 'TrackIP' template'? I could've sworn this worked prior to the update.
I am not having this error, are you sure that your Forum version is 1.1 RC1?
Great theme, I love it. However it scrolls the avatars on the forum (yes we use a bigger size avatar) and I was wondering where I would change such a thing. (Doesnt scroll 64 x 64 just 100 x 100)
Thanks!
Open up your Display.template.php file and search for:
<div style="overflow: auto; width: 65px; height: 65px;">
And replace it like this:
<div style="overflow: auto; width: 100px; height: 100px;">
Hope this helps ;)

Yes, it is 1.1 RC1. The error comes up when you click on an IP in who's online. I have tried it with other themes and had no problems, so it's something specific to this one.

Yes- for the blue version. I'm not sure if it's just that package or not. I updated manually using tar and overwriting the files.
You shouldn't upload manually, the mod erases some unneeded files and stuff, please install it as a mod...
This isn't phpbb :o
Its smf,its got a package manager :)
I recently upgraded from 1.0.5 to 1.1 beta 3, then to 1.1RC1, and I've just noticed that with the SMFOne Gray theme I was using, I can no longer edit user avatars. The whole edit/upload/link avatar interface has completely dissappeared. I dont think it's my install of SMF as if I swap the theme over to the default SMF theme then the avatar interface reappears.
Is this a compatability issue with the SMFONE theme and 1.1RC1?
Can it be fixed?
It's just that some of my new members are pestering me asking where they can change there avatars, and I don't know what to tell them, other than to change there theme to edit avatars, which is a little unproffesional.
Any help with this would be very much appreciated, as I dont think I'm the only one with this problem. I just hope that I'm not going to have to change SMF One from my default theme to something else :(

the file are there, but when the got packed/unpacked, it limited the number of characters in the name, find them, and rename them appropriately (matter of just adding the Y)
Correct. The image is there in the package you just need to look for it and add the Y.

Hi. What a great theme A.M.A, thank you! And thank you Forsakenland for updating.
Does anyone know if there is a button generator for this theme, for those of us who are clueless as to what to do with the buttons attached in the first post? :)
There is no button generator but on the first post you can find the PSD's for download if you want to create custom buttons ;)
Just wondering if anyone had gotten around to updating one of the alternate Display.template.php files, the ones that provide the avatar and profile info to the left of the post rather than at the top. I'm using one of those, and I'm pretty sure that since I don't have an updated version, it's giving member the "Session Verification failed..." error when they attempt to perform a Karma action. For now, I've disabled, but it would be nice to have it back.
Thanks in advance for any information anyone has!

Well guys, at last I have completed the mod, this mod will update SMFOne so that it is 1.1 RC1 compatible, but bear in mind that this mod erases the special Calendar system that SMFOne uses so use this mod at your own risk:
SMFOne Updater (http://turkish.doom9.org/smftheme/files/core/smfoneupd.tar.gz)
SMFOne_blue Updater (http://turkish.doom9.org/smftheme/files/core/smfoneupdblue.tar.gz)

SMFOne_red Updater (http://turkish.doom9.org/smftheme/files/core/smfoneupdred.tar.gz)
Also if you want to use the regular topic display, navigate to your theme folder and delete the Display.template.php file after applying the mod ;)
Hello,
I'm totally newbie in SMF administration.
I tried to install the mod (with package manager) but no files were modified because, I think, the path is hardcoded in package-info.xml ($boarddir/Themes/SMFone_blue/file.php) and I don't have this SMFone_blue directory.
Anyway, I wanted to uninstall the mod but I got this error message :
QuoteAn Error Has Occurred!
This package cannot be uninstalled, because there is no uninstaller!
Please contact the mod author for more information.
It's clear, but could you please tell me what I have to do to properly uninstall the forsakenlad's mod ?

You say that the mod hasn't been installed correctly, so you don't have to do an uninstall, just erase the package. And you can change the path in the XML provided, it really is an easy thing to do ;)
Thanks forsakenlad.
I hope I did it the right way. I deleted the Installed Packages list (just your mod was installed). Then, I deleted the package from the Packages Browser.
Is it the right way ? Is the mod uninstall (deleted) properly ? Please tell me. :)
Yep it is ;) To be sure, please check to see if the version of the theme is 1.05 in the index.template.php ;)

Hello and thanx for this great template. I just installed the blue color but the avatar is not on left. Do I miss something?
can we use this themes in 1.1Rc1
http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=33352.msg385056#msg385056 ;)
I have installed the blue theme into 1.1RC1 and have a problem with the calendar both before and adfter using the updater.
It seems that the months are missing.
Take a look at the attached image made up of parts of screenshots to see what I mean.
I had the same problem on two separate installations.
Any ideas??
Have you tried to install the patch to update this theme for 1.1 Forsakenlad posted a couple of pages back? If that doesn't work, delete the file Calendar.template.php from your SMFone theme directory.

Yep the calendar will be corrected, deleting the template file as xenovanis has suggested would solve the problem too, but If I recall correctly some other template files are deleted too so I highly recommend you run the updater as a package ;)
Thanks for the wonderful and cool template it is really in line with our organizations color specifications... Great work. View our site at http://broodonline.com
I use smf with joomla (Jooomla smf bridge 1 0 2a) and first I have unpatched files in bridge (as it should be done - see-joomlahacks.org) and then installed package, but only thing I can see is "white screen with 'Unable to load the 'main_above' template.'
so I gona check this with clean only smf installation, maybe the mod should be installed before bridging each other...
Could You mr Forsakenland ;) release complete rc1 version ot this template? or are You waiting for stable smf version? :)
edit:
well, tried with clean smf install - and the same error :
Unable to load the 'main_above' template.
aha, I use grey version
also followin files are empy (0kB)
BoardIndex.template.php
Display.template.php
index.template.php
MessageIndex.template.php
Settings.template.php
- installation process was successful and no errors receiced .. weird
more weird is : I have deleted this empty files, which should be patched (anyway), and uploaded by ftp instead of them original files form 1,05 template - and ....... it works - I mean -I can see permissions etc, but haven't tested this .-and only till I am logged in, after logging out - goes to default style./ unless I set : the style to "Overall forum default: /Reset everyone to: this style" and no one besides admin is allowed to change style - then style is always set to SMFone grey (logged out also)
but I dont know it is good solution? maybe I should manually exchange scripts in this files that shluold be patched..??
Quote from: hebxi1 on October 30, 2005, 09:34:14 AM
fantastic idea ... should be noted tho that the mod file does not CHANGE the current files ... it replaces them with updated ones. So any tweaks the user might have made to the original theme will be lost and need to be redone.
Not prohibitive for me ... but will take a little more time than I originally thought. Thanks for the updates forsakenlad :)
Upss just find this - so the original files are replaced.. so I guess I should replace the 0kB files witrh the files from the package via ftp - and shoould work -
... and till now.. seems to work OK ..

Unable to load the 'main_above' template.
ANy help?
I solved previous error by replacing the index.template.php with a backup and now it works evth but
forum index where it says "Unable to load 'main' template".
The backup file is a modified version of index.template.php in order to work with Tiny Portal.
Maybe this causes some problems.
U can download this modified version from here

Please do help regarding this matter. Thanks :)

some files went to zero size (like Settings.php) I re-upload them and evth seems ok for now

Hint for RC1 users (I believe this error is unique to RC1) and sorry if it has been mentioned elsewhere. (this theme will soon deserve an entire message board of its own!!)
If you experience this error, "Unable to load the 'main_above' template." after installing the Update package then it is becuase some of the files have been unpacked at 0kb size (check in your theme folder to confirm)
I had a good clean re-install of SMF1.1RC1 running under php 5.1 (for which the php compatibility patch had been installed.
I installed the SMFOne Blue theme and all appeared to be working okay except for the well known calendar problem.
I then installed the updater mods (correctly through the package manager), and my test user account's theme became broken.
The only option is to manually overwrite the theme files with the updated ones.
Other than that, I was unable to detect any differences between using the original SMFOne and the Updater files. What am I missing here?
Regarding the Calendar.....
I am a total beginner at tweaking php code but I believe I have managed to make all the necessary modifications that will enable it to work with RC1.
I have tested this on my own server and it works for my setup however I have not tested all the permutations of settings yet.
As soon as I have it fully tweaked, I will upload it.
Okay, I think I am there - please try it out and let me know what you think.

Obvisouly there are no changes with the design, they just make the code compatible to ensure that the use of the forum is error free. There are a lot of changes in the template system if you look carefully like sesc additions and a lot of other stuff. And about the error, I believe that some other users too have experienced this problem before.

Getting errors in the member profiles.
Unable to load the 'trackUser' template.
Unable to load the 'trackIP' template.
Unable to load the 'showPermissions' template.
Also in the red theme you can select you avatar etc. these options are missing.
Are you sure that you have used the updater as a mod? If not please delete the following files from the SMFOne folder:
Calendar.template.php
InstantMessage.template.php
Profile.template.php
Search.template.php
I just downloaded the updater you linked to and uploaded it to the theme dir. Didn't use the package manager. Thats why I guess.
Deleted those files and its perfect again.
Many thanks.
Great job! I think I'll be using this one for a while!
You should use the mod as a mod :)
very nice design and i would really like to use it for my smf but there is an error since i installed the theme. i cant access the package manager anymore, so i cant install the update, because i use smf 1.1 rc1

Smfone Theme CSS Updates For SMF 1.1 RC2
Intro
If you have upgraded your SMF forum to the latest release (RC2)
then you will probably have noticed that borders have been added
around your images. The included CSS files fix this.
Installation
1. Rename the appropriate colour .css file to style.css
2. Upload to your Smfone directory (typically: www.yourdomain.com/forum/Themes/smfone/)
[You will need to overwrite the current .css file]
3. Thats it. Your Smfone theme will now work with SMF RC2.
Download Link
http://peterstannard.com/site/smf/smfone-1.1rc2-css-update.zip [Red, Green, Blue and Grey CSS included]
Thanks for this update I was really puzzled as to what happened... you rock!
Smfone Theme index.template.php Updates For SMF 1.1 RC2
Installation
1. Remove "smfone-1.1rc2-update-" from the filename leaving index.template.php
2. Upload to your Smfone directory (typically: www.yourdomain.com/forum/Themes/smfone/)
[You will need to overwrite the current index.template.php file]
3. Thats it. Your Smfone theme will now work with SMF RC2.
Download Link
http://peterstannard.com/site/smf/smfone-1.1rc2-update-index.template.zip
[Only use this update if you have not modified the index.template.php. If you have modified it manually or installed mods which may have modified this file it will be best to manually update the index.template. Take a look @ this topic: here (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=57859.msg402823#msg402823)]
I have a couple of questions about this theme, and I'm sure they're easy fixes but I've tried messing with the code with no luck. Here goes...
- How do I get rid of the forum title on the upper left-hand side of the screen? I'd rather not have that there when I have my own logo saying the same thing.
- My personal logo is located on the right side of the screen. How do I change the placement of it, so that it's on the left or centered?
- If I want to add some of my own text links say under the banner, where in the code (index template) can I put those in?
- Thumbnail images aren't showing... just a link of it. I've checked the Attachments section and all seems to be in working order. Any idea on how to fix that?
Thanks all for a great theme!
^^^^^^^^^^ Anyone?
I've have seen a solution for my problem in this topic, only that was for the older index.template.php file (rc 1).
- I would also like to delete the newsbox.
- Also i would like to delete the forum name and logo in top.
- I also have the background of the forum white. Now the roudings have still grey in it, do you have a set of transparant roundings?
Is this possible? And what do I need to change?
Thanks in advance.

You can disable the newsbox. Better than removing the coding IMO. This can be done in the Themes part of the admin centre.

See the code I posted in the post above this one. Where you see float right, instead float it left/centre.

That box is already checked off. Under all the other themes I have installed (there's about 5 other themese people can choose from) people can view the attachments just fine, but no one can see the attachments under this particular theme. Is there a specific file that I need to check or something?

You need to add a "y" to the end of the filename. It was missed off in the original download.
Go to the /Themes/smfone/images/topic/ and rename "my_normal_post_locked_stick.gif" to "my_normal_post_locked_sticky.gif"

Sorry I can't help further. I would post this problem in the General Support forum for a dev to look @.
Without looking at the theme I would suggest to you the theme is not fully compatible with 1.1rc2.
Forsakenlad's update took this theme to 1.1rc1 not rc2.
can we know NEW THEME FEATURES in rc2? i mean what is new in it?Will Ajax featuers comes automatically in all theme"1.0"?
some hints will be great.
Ajax features will come only if you don't have the Display.template.php. I will be releasing a new updater mod after I update my own themes ;)
for those of you who are interested, here is SMFone_gray for coppermine 1.4.x
a variation of it can be found here (the header ie menu and ad banner have been added in seperately with the coppermine header option), the hover over colour is also different in the running site (to be consistant with the menu in the header), but is correct in the download to match the real SMFone_gray theme....

and the download here

Will there be a install avaliable for 1.1Rc2?

Look at the source code... it seems your logo is inside two div tags. One with no attributes, one with

Thanks for the update forsakenlad!
However, do you know any reason why viewing IPs in the Who's Online tool returns 'unable to load the 'TrackIP' template'? I could've sworn this worked prior to the update.
EDIT: Sorry for the trouble I think all is fixed now.
I have noticed some problems with SMFone...
Firstly you can't edit your buddies:
QuoteUnable to load the 'editBuddies' template.
Secondly the
"First day of the week on the calendar" setting within
"Look and Layout Preferences" doesn't show either Sunday or Monday; it's blank.
Other than that SMFone is a fantastic theme. :)
Found this error also:
QuoteUnable to load the 'trackIP' template.
Search this thread and you will find answers, thats what I did.
Have you got any idea where? I've looked through 25 pages already and can't find anything at all.
There was something about deleting the profile template from the smfone theme folder I think this is what I did. I didnt delete it I renamed it at first to see if that solved it and it did. I think this is what you have to do. It is posted somewhere I think.
Unable to load the 'trackUser' template.
Unable to load the 'showPermissions' template.

Again I would like to mention how great this theme is! :)
But I have one problem with it. That is that the template font get messed in IE. The font is huge and the forum isn't displayed right anymore. In firefox everything works fine.
Example: http://www.x-tras.nl/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=97
I'm using the site with Joomla 1.0.8 and Joomla-SMF 1.1RC2. I asked on the Joomla-SMF forum and they told me the he problem must be in the template (compability with SMF 1.1RC2).
What needs to be changed in the template to make the page also work in IE?
This theme rules, Couple of things... can i use it on my forum and modify some parts? Is there a license, i don't see one?
Where do i get the latest version of this theme i am using 1.1 RC2?
No anwsers: Looks like i will have to modify it to work with RC2.
I have found the following issues:
-Cannot change avatar
-Calendar gone
-Buddy list does not load
-TrackUser
-TrackIP
-ShowPermission
-It always uses a Tree instead of a line (Row) for the Thread display.
If you find any more issues please post them here.
All the Best,

you can use your default Display.template.php file and it will work correctly. It seems like the Display.template.php file that comes with the theme is stripped down, and certain actions (such as TrackUser, TrackIP, etc) have been removed and will give you errors. Personally, i use SMFOne_Blue and i replaced the Display.template.php file with the original one in the default folder, and everything works fine
Thanks for the tip, i will try it :)
And try i did, The only thing this solved was the Calendar, i still have all other problems :(
I replaced it with ftp overright. Display.template from the default... are you using RC2?
I also copy profile.template and now it seems that all is working :P

Hi i updated the theme, i think it now works well with RC2 :)
I don't know where to post it, i can't seem to have attachments, and also i don't know where to change versio numbers, some files show 1.1RC2 otehr show 1.0 version.
;) ;) thanks!!!
@Daniel_MD ~ if you have updated the theme then send it to me and I will post the update here.
Daniel MD,The versions are stated at the tops.
Hi,
I don't know where i put the file... give me 10min.... to find it, update the version numbers (it works with my installation of RC2, and i added a default icon for the ajax post edit), i will change the version numbers, test it again, and send by email (if you guys provide one, i can't seem to have the right to attach files in PM).
I have live demo here http://netbeans.im-thinking.com/ see if you find any issues.
look fine to me :)
Seems fine to me too. If you could send me a zip copy to my email address I will add it your update to this thread.

Just curious...what all did you change? Other than applying the style.css patch posted in this thread about the time RC2 came out, I haven't done anything other than applying the original package and the RC1 mod package and it works fine in RC2 as far as I can tell.
there are large changes between 1.1 rc and 1.1 rc2
Template changes SMF 1.1RC1 to SMF 1.1 RC2 (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=64744.0)
if these areas arent changed then you will recieve errors, mainly in your error log.

Hum nice question... i did change a couple of things but while i was updating version numbers, i looked side by side at the default files and the theme files and i found many differences... i am going over the files again and will test it, and then i will post it... sorry for teh delay, but i really don't want to break other people SMF isntallations :-\

OK that is what i did... it's in your mailbox ;D
I used WinMerge... so don't blame me if something goes wrong use at own risk, it works well in my RC2 installation... if you have problems post here and i will try to help.
cool cool ill check later off to bed now
Using SMF 1.1 RC2 with SMFone BlueSky and SMFone Update, and avatar selection is missing from profile page, so users cannot select an avatar.
Hi,
I updated it to SMF 1.1 RC2, but they did not put it on-line, nor send me feedback, so i did my part... you can do it also, simply overright some files with default ones, the instructions are present in the thread

I got the same problem, and from the 20 pages I read, I couldn't find a fix. Well unless I completely scanned over it.
Any direct help for the 1 problem would be great, thanks anyone.
ask sloopz for the file i sent him the file, but i don't think he uploaded it.
ill check for it on my list but I remember sending it to redone :)
SMFone for RC2 (http://www.thelastbreathe.co.uk/dls/SMFoneRC2.zip)
Thank you.
I have one seriously tiny problem.
I modded the SMFone theme and now I have a "row" somewhere that I can't seem to see. It's that dark grey line.
It's very frustrating; I got it almost exactly how I want it but I have this problem.
It has to be so simple I just can't see it. :D :) ::) :o :( >:( :'(

I knew I had to be missing something, thanks for helping. :)
I like the colour and the border of SMFone ...
Is it possible for me to edit it with the default theme ?
Quite possibly the best theme I've seen for SMF, well done! :)
Hi, I love this theme and have been using it for a long time. I would like to put my top banner on it but I have it set up in a table with a photo background and then the name of my site and major links over the photo. I want to put this same table on the top of my forum but every time I try to figure out how or where to paste the code it messes up the whole forum so nothing works. This is what I would like to put in the top. Where or how can I put this in.
Thank you, Rhonda

Hi :)
SMFone is definitely my favourite theme - thank you!
One question though: There is no avatar selection available (profile image) in the profile settings. Is this something that can be enabled as I need avatar functions.
Thanks in advance,
Bidhendy
Cmon, it cannot be, that my Users cannot choose an Avatar!
Can´t anybody fix that, or is this discontiued?
Why do i always find out the answer 4 my question after i postet it?^^
@all with this problem: just use the profile.template.php of the default-skin instead of the one from smf_one :D

You can just delete profile.template.php from the SMFone Directory :P
great...thanx a lot ;)
SMF Version: Version not known
Because images speak louder than words:
(http://www.idispute.net/images/support/1.png)
The top is how it currently looks, I find it consumes too much space so I'd like to make it so that it looks like the bottom image or similar to it with instead having the "started by: bef 6 replies and 17 views" falling directly below the topic title "tests".
(http://www.idispute.net/images/support/2.png)
Another thing I'd like to change is somehow lessen the confusion caused by the Sort By menu which looks like it should line up with the thread information but instead it's simply the sort by... Maybe dropping it under the threads, making the text smaller and adding a "Sort By:" infront of it...
I was hoping someone could help me to progress with these goals.
My forum is found at iDispute.net if that helps :)
I want to move my forum (using this template), from root folder, to folder /forum
How can I do this? I tried and failed...

I am not sure about the request you have made for what you'd need to do, but your version is "Powered by SMF 1.0.7." part at the bottom of your iDispute.net page. That's how you determine the version you have, which is SMF 1.0.7...

Is there any particular reason this theme hasn't been added to the theme site?
I ported the theme to SMF 1.1 RC2/RC3 yesterday, so if there's no particular reason it hasn't been added yet, I'll submit it to the theme site, with credits to A.M.A of course. :)
I'll wait a week for an answer. If I don't get an objection in the mean time, I'll submit it.
This theme is now available at the theme site:
