Title: Having problems with Mambo - Smf Bridge
Post by: Wolfaga on September 12, 2009, 03:47:21 PM
Hello all, I'm kinda new to making websites and stuff so I'll try to explain.

Basically I'm trying to make a website for a guild for an MMORPG (Aion). I got my Domain name and Hosting and then installed SMF 2.0 RC1.2 and, after trying a few different CMS', installed Mambo 4.6.5 Stable [ Jupiter ] 20-Jun-2008 00:00 GMT. Next I installed the Bridge (it was the right one) by going into "Installers" "Universal" Then browsing, picking it off my desktop, and installing.

Now my problems begin.

I put my forum in the configuration for the bridge (/home/public_html/forum) But they don't appear to be working right... No forum button or anything on the Mambo page, I had to go into synch to put myself on both Mambo and SMF... Also, I changed my password for an account using mambo, it didn't change for SMF, Like they are two different accounts (if you get that) Also, when I try to log into Mambo using my super admin account, I get this:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function db_insert_id() in /home/*******/public_html/mambots/authenticator/SMF_login.php on line 137

So I basically need to fix that error, and the fact that its like there are two separate accounts for each user.

Thanks for any help. BTW You can IM me at wolfaga via Yahoo or [email protected]

Now I'm getting this when people try to register through mambo:
Database Error
Please try again. If you come back to this error screen, report the error to an administrator.

The best place is likely to be the specific Mambo board - I can move this topic there for you if you like?

You have the wrong bridge.

For SMF 2.0.x, you need bridge 2.0.x.

Have that bridge though.

Did you attempt to install bridge 1.1.2 previous to that?

What EXACTLY did you use for your path to SMF?
