Bad idea I think. While I was a local language moderator in this site, I provided a code for the same thing (about 3 years ago), but I didn't support the idea to make it a modification. Because it will help thousands to cheat; and that really not playing nice.

how is this cheating ? and cheating what ? and there is a big difference made in last 3 year, competition now is more than ever, there are thousands of forums doing the same thing, if there is way to convince a user to sign up and join your site, i think its worth it.
and this mod is not forced, if some ones likes it use it then when you actually match the fake stats, take it of, quite simple, don't you think and fare too.
Calm down friend. :) I don't accuse you for anything, I just tell about my opinion. You're right its "competition" and my opinion is "telling lies" is not a good way of competing.

and i never said it is a right thing, but just saying this isn't comepletely wrong either, may be thats why i don't use it as well :P

no, not really , i did come up with this according to my requirement ,
but later came to know that this has been done before in smf. :D

You don't need a mod for this. Simply edit your LANGUAGES file(s)...
index.english.php
$txt[140] = 'Users active in past ' . $modSettings['lastActive'] . ' minutes';
change to
$txt[140] = 'Users active in past 30 minutes';

It doesn't install correctly, Test failed on all the modifications after I have updated the mod to install for 2.0 RC2.

in the screen shots, what does 33 means?
It replaces the "Users online in the last <x> minutes" line with a different number, so you can have it record users online in the last hour but claim it's just the last 15 minutes.
i used it but it doesn't change the most online so i uninstalled it,but please update it to also fake the most online

most peeps that come to a site go back if they see it doesn't get good traffic but with this f them men

If you didnt get any failed tests during installation and using normal English , then i see no reason for it not to work.
You do under stand the mod's functionality right ?
- Its gives a fake time ( which you set ) in place of actual time.
e.g - actual time 360 Min, fake - 10 Min

I am such a bone head. I got the numbers mixed up. The fake was in the real and the real was in the fake. Thanks. :P

This mod seems to have stopped working since I upgraded to 2.0 RC3. Is there anything I need to change in the admin panel?
I have the time times set in the correct boxes. As soon as everyone leaves, the site is back to zero users.

Ok I made the changes. The code was missing in 2 areas. I will report back with an update.
After making the manual edits. It's still the same. I have the times in the right boxes but the real one still shows on the board.

That's actually where I got it from. FTP. public html, themes, deep red2, index template php

The 1st file you attached was correct , but in .txt format not .php so i asked you to re upload with .php extension
2nd upload was wrong , cause you upload index.php the one in forum root

I have a problem with this mod.
I am using 1.1.13
and downloaded this mod v1.2_fake_time
when I install this mod I am not able to edit any option in features and options section
i get error..
"Your session timed out while posting. Please try to re-submit your message"
but when I uninstall this mod I dont get any error.
value which i test this is overall time offset

What's new? Is there a changelog somewhere? The last modified time just changed from:
