This mod allow to you select music for your profile. Only support for mp3 files (for now) & 1.1.10 support coming in next week.Notice: This mod is still beta.
I need some feature request, if you think you have an idea for this mod, just say it.

For Aeva Media Mod Support.

Just download and install that attachment. Its currently beta. I'm not sure it's safely but if you want it, you can use this. I will not include my main package. Because Aeva Media Still developed, and updated every week, so if you install my package and update aeva after that, Aeva support will not work.

If you think to update your aeva after install aeva support, Just uninstall my Aeva Support mod and update Aeva, reinstall Aeva Support mod.

Features ?
- Your users can able to select "profile song" from his or other gallery mp3/video item.

Ive installed this mod and i cannot seem to find in my profile where to edit this to add  a song?

This error seems like smf side not my mod. And what are your smf version? Because this mod worked on only smf 2.0 for now.

Maybe in the future, even if i add playlist feature, this feature added. And maybe only youtube video or integrate with aeva. (I don't want to integrate aeva. )

I really didn't know about this problem. Because this mod successful uploaded and installed in my forums. Can you open new topic in support boards and ask your question?

Edit: Can you try again now ? I have release to new version. Maybe fix your issue.

i also have another suggestion at the moment you can use skins from longtailvideo but would it be possible to make settings so you can have different skins on different themes. no one skin looks good in all my themes :(

Thanks for comment. But I can't add skin selection option, because longtail don't allowed that. But i will make a documentation for this, also plugins.

maybe you could also add page for supported sites for mp3 and videos.
and switch for autoplay after page loads.

You can select autoplay for your admin CP. (Look at "Autostart ?" in profile song settings)

I will add list for post on this topic. When i release 1.0 (First Public) i will add documentacion on first post. And If you have smg, user can upload song from his user album and can select to "Add as Profile Song" in 1-2 week after

The songs that i add doesn't play. I get error #2032. When i click play the button changes to a pause button but then goes back to a play button after a short second.

You should re-try and sure the song url worked.

i have the exact same problem and i know why its happening... but not precisely why.

i had the old smg installed when i first downloaded this mod and it worked PERFECTLY however i then noticed that smg had an update so i ran it suddenly profile songs stopped working.

i uninstalled gallery and it worked fine after a little frustrating messing around i went to check that songs were working in the smg and noticed oh look it now has the exact same player as the profile songs one.

it always used jw player but an old version, now both mods use the same version of jw player you can only get one to work at a time, if you have the old version of smg and therefor the old version jw you can run both mods.

however the new smg is awesome and i dont want to give it up for profile songs.

but im sure someone with actual knowledge beyond mine can find a way to make it work probably an adjustment to the actual mod as obviously the smg add profile song thing would be pointless if you cant have both mods.

at the moment i have left both mods installed i was hoping that the smg support when its done would fix the problem to be honest with you i'd much prefer to have people use tracks from smg then external mp3 links anyway... it fits in better with my type of site.

Can you give the ex. profile url for your forum.? Problem is swfobject i guess. But i need more details and demos. Maybe you ask this on smg topic too. I don't have much time this week. Maybe dragoon or Nao can help on this issue.

And what are you using url ? Can you give that url to me ?

ok so you are correct it works fine indeed... which had me baffled for about all of 5 seconds until i realised that it works fine for all extrenal links mp3's from somebody elses website are playing just fine. anything hosted at my own doesnt though but will play through other means so its not the files.

again i have no idea what that actually means.

i guess i'll just have to live with the fact that i can't use mp3's that are hosted at the same site as my forum and wait for the smg support which in itself is far better then simply linking to external files anyway for my users.

Hi, I've been trying to install this on version 1.1.10 but receive the following error when trying to view profile:

Unknown column 'mem.song' in 'field list'
File: /home/******/public_html/forums/Sources/Load.php

Not sure what the problem could be.  :(

I have installed this and set a profile mp3 that is a confirmed link but I do not see anything on the profile when viewed by myself or a test member.

The SMF version is 2.0 RC 1.2, hosted site, PHP 5, Linux. I have an alternate theme (Pixel Perfect v1) I installed version 0.8.1.

Other Mods installed:
AjaxChat Integration      3.2.1
SMF Media Gallery    2.0.1
Personal Messages to Membergroups    1.2
Custom Page With Tab Button    1.2
HTTP Only Cookie Flag    1.0
ENotify      1.06

Nothing shows in the Admin error logs section.

Are you sure to enable profile songs in admin panel ?

I'd like another idea: how about some member group permissions, so an admin can grant permission to add a song and/or play a song to different member groups?

Just to give you a heads up:
in ultimate profile, 'boardurl' is not defined and it doesn't load the url of the swfobject.js.

to fix this, go into phpmyadmin and use the following code:
ALTER TABLE `smf_members` ADD `song` TEXT NOT NULL

this fixed the issue for me.

I also had the mem.song error, but I fixed it through PHPmyadmin.

I've just installed the MOD without error
then i enabled in Admin panel

when i go to my profile i dont see any option why ? do i  need to change something else? where is the option to upload song or play the video how do i do it?

If you download ProfileSong-1.0-Beta.zip to your computer and open it, inside you'll find install-1.1.php. Upload this to your forum through FTP, into the directory where SSI.php is, then browse to that file through your web browser, it should fix the issue.

I run 1.1.11 with avea. I would like to allow users to upload music to a general category (folder) and create a play-list, or play a profile song. This way they could have several play lists, depending on their mood, and listen to said list while they are on the site.

Maybe even upload and download functionality as well, like sort of a SMF version of "beemp3.com"

Are these viable functions that can be added, and will it run on my site without any hitches?

support for 1.1.11, amd mp3 and mp4 support would be great. also the ability for users to create a playlist that would continue playing while changing pages, and posting to forums.

Allow the ability for users and the admin to upload songs into a data base, set catagories, and allow users to select from these catagories and add to their playlist for play when selected as well as the ability for this to comtinually play for user enjoyment while on the site.

Just some ideas that my users would enjoy and have requested in the past

relatively simple fix there - code a pop-out player or tell them to open the profile in a new tab/window.

This still works.. You basically need to get the latest jwplayer from there website and overwrite the player.swf and swfobject.js

This mod does not work if you have installed the warning mod for 1.x

Im using this for my 2.0.4 forum but I got a database error when I tried going into a profile

Nice Mod, works fine.

But in Germany there is a copyright-Problem with most of the loaded up MP3s.
As hoster for a Forum we risk to get high bills easily. :-(
This Problem would be fixed with using YouTube-Files.

Because of that, a YouTube-link-support would be very very important to me.

Maybe someone can explain me how to add this, please?
