hello from a newbee ;)
How do i disallow users to use HTML/ BBC-codes in their signature? I just want them to use plain text for obvious reasons... :)
thanx in advance!
Richard
go to admin -> Edit Features and Options
look for
Enable basic HTML in posts
Enable bulletin board code (BBC)
just make certain the these 2 are NOT checked
then in this
Disabled BBC Code (comma separated)
you can also specify which BBC codes you want to ban
also dont forget that bb codes can sometimes be useful.
thanx for the quick reply!
I guess I wasn't very clear on this, what I meant was how to disallow it ONLY in the signature box because disabling BBC/HTML in the configuration wil disallow it as well in the 'regular' posts and that's absolutely not what I want ::)
greetings,
Richard
sorry, thats my mistake, I assumed you meant to disable it completely.
I dont really know any more, so perhaps it might be best to get an answer from someone
more knowledgeable.
Sources/Load.php
Find (around line 521)
$profile['signature'] = doUBBC($profile['signature']);
And remove it
Does that disallow the basic HTML as well? Or just the BB code?
Both, because html is also handled by BBC tags.
