I downloaded the converter.php and the mybb14x_to_smf.sql, entered all the information into the page, and then it did nothing.
All it does is go to /convert.php?step=1 which is a blank screen, and sits there. No change on the SMF installation or the MyBB installation.
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong, and how I can get it to work?
I'm not sure what the problem may be. A blank page, that could be because of a fatal error in PHP that stopped it.
Could you please tell: if you right click the blank page, and 'view source', does your browser show anything? If so, please post it here.
It isn't showing anything under the HTML source.
Please try checking your server error logs, normally you could find them in your host's cpanel or in your ftp account, and post them here (or attach).
I can't seem to find the logs anywhere. On both FTP and the hosts control panel (it isn't cPanel...)...
I'll keep looking...
Yep. It seems my host doesn't allow me to view the logs... :(

Perhaps you could ask them? At the very least, it would be useful to know
where it's failing, just an error message, something to allow us to dig into it and solve it.
I submitted a ticket, and they said logs aren't available to me. :(
Is this a free host?
Many times (though not always) hosts do make access and error logs available to people. They're extremely useful to see when something happens, including in the event of a hacked site or failing, what exactly happened and where it came from.
It's difficult for me to advice something when I don't know the error message.
Would it be possible for them then, to tell what happened on your site at the time you ran the converter? They know, we don't.
You could if you wish, send me a database backup, and I'll try to convert it for you. Please let me know in case you agree, I will send you a PM in that case.
Alternatively, I suppose you could also, if you're confident a little with MySQL and PHP, set up your own local little server, and convert it on your own home computer. There are pre-packaged server apps easy to use, like Easy PHP, or LAMPP/XAMPP, which allow you to install an Apache, with PHP, and MySQL.
Yeah, it's a freehost. I'm still working on getting the money for a paid hosting plan.

I think I'll do that. It'll give me a pretty good chance to practice SQL and PHP. :)
Thanks for all the help. I really appreciate it. :D
